When the thinset is cured the next day, use a rubber mallet to remove the spacers. I found that by hitting the wedge as if I'm driving them in further snapped the spacers off cleanly. Hitting from the side was not as good. You must strike the side of the clamp solidly otherwise you may leave a piece behind. I missed and hit the wedge first which left a piece behind. Did it correctly after that. I used my oscillating saw to cut the remaining plastic that was left behind on the few spacers that I hit incorrectly. My saw blade has carbide teeth which let me remove so high thinset as well.

These are amazing. For someone who works with tiles they probably know all about them but this was the first time my husband a d I tried to lay 24 by 24 tiles. All i can say is they saved a floor a d us. They pulled the tiles together so all the corners matched and everything turned out so nice. whoever invented them should get the Nobel prize!

This was only my third time tiling and this Tile Leveling System Kit really made a difference. Sped things up too. It makes the grout lines of my large format tiles very even. I don't think a professional could have done it better. The kit comes with more than I needed for the bathroom I tiled. There's no way I'd tile without these now.
