This safe was super easy to set up and is easy to operate. I love that it lights up when I open the door and also appreciate that it’s both water proof and fire safe and that there is a backup key in case the key pad fails or batteries run out. Overall this was a great purchase for the price. There’s plenty of room for me to add additional items as I see fit and I imagine this will be in use in my home for many years to come.

This lightweight safe is a more durable version of a strongbox that can be conveniently located in one's domicile. The locking mechanism is adequate to secure valuables for a limited amount of time. The locking mechanism functions well to open and close the lightweight safe, however I am unable to set the date and time. The instructions provided do not allow the operator to set the new date and time, which seems to be a flaw in the programming. The safe claims to be fireproof and waterproof, even though this is slightly true the description does not adequately provide enough information on the fireproof and water rating. The company that produces this safe should be more forthcoming on the safe’s ability to withstand a fire. As far as the water rating, the presence of the anchor holes will allow water to penetrate the safe. If a person spills water on the safe and it is closed, most likely the documents will stay dry, however if there is an abundance of water sprayed around the safe, the materials stored inside will be exposed to saturation. Two of the pictures used to describe the safe, have three locking bars and what seems to be a thicker door, sides, top, and bottom. Because of the vagueness presented by the fireproof and waterproof claim, these pictures (#4 and #6) used to visually identify the safes properties cause a conflict in determining a safes rating. This safe would likely receive a b-rating, which is lower than the C or E rating for thickness. As far as a burglary rating it would probably receive an RSC level 1 rating, which requires the safe to resist five minutes of break-in attempts by 1 person using common hand tools. The levels 2 and 3 ratings will be more adequate for the protection of valuables and sensitive documents. Depending upon your needs, this might be your safe. However, if you're looking for something to ensure your document in a calamity, you might need a higher rated safe.

We bought two of these for our young adult children for Christmas. We opened them and checked them out before wrapping them up for them. They are the perfect size for storing all of their important documents which we currently have in our own safe. Plus, there is plenty of room for them to store any other of their valuable (or secret) belongings. We originally tried a different safe before this one, but the capacity was too small. The documents and file folders would have to be squished to fit in. It is a good weight. Heavy enough, but not too heavy! Very satisfied.
