  • A lot of fun
Color: Blue
I got the Telorock RC "BMW" 1:43 RC drift car. The car came in a nice package (suitable for a gift), came with the car with drift tires pre-installed, 5 rubber traction tire replacements (not for drifting), the remote control, 10 traffic cones to set up a track, instructions, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable for the car. The remote control needs four AAA batteries that were not included. Let's start with this car is small. It's a little bit bigger then a hotwheels, but it's definitely more fun. I haven't stopped playing with it, which is also it's downfall. I'm too busy playing with it at work and not getting any work done, so be careful. The car lasts somewhere between 5-10 minutes on a charge, but it depends on your speed setting and how hard you are on the gas. There are three speed settings, and the lowest one (green) I like the best as the car seems the most manageable on my bare floors. As the battery dies, the car gets slower, which also makes it easier to control, but you also know you're running out of battery soon. I did not notice any real difference with the headlights on or off as far as battery life, but I definitely prefer them on as the car is cooler looking in moderate light. In a bright room, it doesn't matter much. In a darker room they really look cool. For the controls, and I guess I'm used to it by now, if you are going forwards, you have to hit reverse, let go, and hit reverse again to actually go backwards. It seems like the first time you hit it, it's the brakes, then again for reverse. The forward speed is variable, so the harder you pull the trigger, the faster it goes. It works much better if you are feathering the gas. If you just squeeze and go full throttle, the car just spins out. Feathering it makes it drift better. All in all, this is a fun little car and I'm going to have to put a limit on how much I play with it so I don't get in trouble at work. ... show more

  • Fun little car
Color: Orange
So, the price. I think they’re worth it, though I’d be happier if they were about 10% less expensive. That being said I think you generally get your moneys worth, given the extras that come with the car. The car comes with plastic drift tires on that seem particularly well suited to into hardwood flooring. By taking off the body (removing two screws) you can easily pop off the drift tires and add the included rubber ones. They give you three tires, (front and back) so there is an extra if you lose or damage one. With the rubber tires on you can still drift on the higher speed, to some extent at least, but have much more control over the steering. The remote takes 4AAA batteries and has trim and speed adjustments on it. You can easily tell the speed it’s set at by whether the led is green, yellow, or red. I also really like that by taking the body off you can clean hair and fluff out of the wheels so they don’t get bound up and slow down the car, which is a problem with other small cars I’ve had. They also come with traffic cones, which is actually kind of cool if you have the room to set something up and practice learning how to drift. All in all this is a fun little indoor car if you have the space for it. ... show more

  • Great fun, love the scale!
Color: Silver
This fulfills a dream of eight year old me - this might as well be an RC matchbox car (its scale is slightly bigger) but for all intents and purposes this is a toy I could only dream of as a child - and I have had so much fun with it. My cats are nowhere near as impressed and insist I give it 0 stars do not recommend. But for people, wow o wow is it fun! Its a shame the transmitter is not rechargeable via usb - as well, but triple A batteries are easy to swap out. I am not an RC enthusiast who knows a lot about the hobby, but I have seen enough products in stores to see these products often have different channels so you can race with a friend without interfering with each other's signals, that said I can't see anything on this product about switching channels - but the manual seems to indicate automatic frequency negotiation but that could easily mean the car and the remote are pre paired - like a lot of things these days the translations leave a little bit to be desired. If this product were more expensive, I would have docked points for the manual and not having side by side play explicitly addressed - but considering how much fun I have had (and how much fun I think anyone else would have within moments of unboxing) it is really hard to find any fault with this. Great fun. ... show more

  • I can't drift with it
Color: Blue
Fun little car, but drifting is tricky. Might be user error, but I can’t get consistent drifts. Rubber tires rub against the fenders, so I stick to the plastic ones.

  • Killer fun for anyone!
Color: Blue
This little car is a lot more fun than I thought it would be, and we're working on making it a family activity for myself, my almost nine yr old daughter, and hopefully my wife as well. I only ran it with the drift tires so I'll only comment on that. This is such an easy car to set up and ready to run right out of the box once the car is charged (only takes about 30 min), and batteries installed in the controller. The car can be run from a slow crawl as you learn to control it, to the fast, tail wagging drifts at high speed, as well as precision throttle feathering turns. Reversing is easy and the brake lights come on by simply moving the throttle ring forward, and then pulling it toward yourself again to speed forward. This car looks really nice with the blue on silver, and looks cool! This car is nicely boxed and packs in three custom stiff foam sheets that fit each item perfectly. Should last years and protect your car when not in use or traveling with it. Highly recommend this for teens and adults, possibly even connecting generations with model racing! ... show more
