This is my first downcut bit and after playing around with it for a little while I have come to the conclusion that I shouldn't have waited until now to get one. It is crazy sharp and holds its edge well. I've made multiple cuts, slots and dados and so far has kept sharp, little to no tear out and no burning. Some of which is attributed to correct setup and speed settings but still no complaints yet. Recommended.

As a new CNC user, I was excited to use my this 1/4 inch down-cut bit to route a bunch of insets in hard maple table legs. The cutter smoothly and cleanly bit into the wood, thanks to its down-cut design, creating precise details with its 1/4 inch diameter. I experimented with feed rates and cutting depths to achieve the desired results and found that slower feed rates allowed for more control while deeper cuts produced more pronounced lines. After completing the intricate line work on all the table legs, I was thrilled with the results and proud of the new skills I had acquired as a CNC user.

The media could not be loaded. I've been trying to find a cost effective end mill for some time now. There are high end stuff like Vortex tools and Amana Tools which you can buy with confidence. And then , there are cheaper brands over Amazon, which is kinda tricky. Sometimes you can buy 5 of 1/4'' compression bit at $25 and get a cut quality that you can't complaint, sometimes you buy a single 1/4'' bit at $25 and break on you on the first run. I'm a hobbyist woodworker now and planning to make woodworking my major source of income, so finding a cost effective end mill with least amount of edge sanding for my 3HP CNC is really important. After some "scientific" tests of several brands, I have decided on ZahyoX. I ruled out Amana and Vortex not because of the price, but it seems that their bits works better with higher RPM and faster feedrate, and oddly they are more prone to breakage on my machine. (I usually run my machine no more than 14000RMP and 120IPM). I have used the some S1405 and S1407 from ZahyoX now, so far so good. I would definitely recommend this brand if you are just like me.

I use these in my CNC router for making deep pockets. They work beautifully and are very well machined. I even ordered two more just to have on hand if something happens to the first two. They arrived quickly, were nicely packaged, and best of all, they're sharp and cut through Brazilian Cherry like butter. Really good bits for the price they're asking.

I tested it with my Onefinity CNC to cut over 1000 1.5-inch diameter and 1/2-inch deep flat-bottomed holes in 3/4 inch thick MDF boards. The down-cut design produced clean and accurate cuts, and the Onefinity CNC allowed me to adjust cutting speed and depth for precision. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome of the project and with little cleanup to do on the edges. hope to using this powerful tool for future projects.
