  • Generator
Style: 1200w duplex socket
This generator has been very reliable so far. It starts easily, runs smoothly, and provides enough power for my basic needs like lights, fan, TV, and charging devices. The fuel consumption is reasonable, and it doesn’t overheat even after running for several hours. The noise level is okay—not silent, but not unbearable either. The only downside is that it’s a bit heavy and could be easier to move around. Overall, it’s a good value for the price and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable generator for home or backup use. ... show more

  • Two stroke generator
Style: 1200w duplex socket
I paid attention to the setup directions and after I let it run for several minutes until it ran smoothly. I plugged in two different tools, and ran as it should. Awesome little machine, and portable for my around the yard use

  • Bad product with even worse support. Look elsewhere!
Style: 1200w duplex socket
I bought this "generator" from Amazon. It would not start at all during numerous attempts over a 5 day period. I did manage to contact a non-English speaking "tech support" person for help. She offered no help, but insisted that since I didn't buy the machine from them, I could not return it or exchange it, but call tech support where I bought it for help (but that is who I thought I was connected to!) Shortly after that call ended, I received a telephone call from another non-English speaking person who sounded like the same person, and was also of no help, but would only say I could not return this, nor would they exchange or replace it because I didn't buy it from them! I gave up arguing with these non-English speaking females, and continued to try starting the piece of junk with my wife's help. My rec-fuel was fresh, as was the 2-cycle oil and fuel stabilizer per the instruction manual. On my 10th attempt, the generator finally started and actually ran for ~2 minutes! On the next day, late morning, it was again extremely difficult for me to start it. It finally ran for ~30 seconds, coughed once, then stopped running. I have not been able to get it started again since then. This is a terrible product with the worst excuse for support. I advise Amazon to stop selling this item, or anything else from AceUp Energy. ... show more

  • Small Generator Perfect for Camping
Style: 1200w duplex socket
The generator works great. I bought it over purchasing a 400 watt battery bank. So far, I’ve put about 7-8 hours of run time on it during a camping trip. The longest duration was 2 hrs continuously. The manufacturer states that the unit needs about 25 hours to be fully broken in. The good: - The unit charged all of our small devices such as cellphones and laptops without issue. - We were able blow up our air mattresses and really could be used to power temporary lighting or small appliances - The unit is small and compact; maybe taking up about 15” all the way around of storage space. - Unit comes with a top handle and is easy to move around; unit is not very heavy even with a full tank - The unit wasn’t loud to me, especially 30-50 ft away; sounds like a chainsaw on idle or dirt bike in neutral. My unit has a slight rattle that is worse with bad fuel but not bad with proper fuel; - Didn’t have any issue starting/stopping the unit multiple times throughout the day; as long as I followed the proper procedures The bad: - Only holds about 1 gallon of fuel; and each fill requires 1 gallon of gas plus 2oz of 2 cycle oil mixed. I had to mix in a 16 oz bottle first then fill up with gas the rest of the way. I shook the unit to make sure it’s all mixed up. - Lasted maybe 4-5 hours I found with minimal load. Still testing this though. Perhaps it will last 6 hours once fully broken in. Also, to get the max duration the fuel must be filled all the way to the line - Only has two three pronged outlets; it’s a small unit so something to consider - Because the unit is small and light; I had to put my foot or hand on the unit to hold it steady when pulling the cord. Not sure how safe this is in terms of risk of shock; best to wear rubber gloves and ensure the unit is grounded first. - Unit must be grounded like in my video; this is required according to the manual for safety; you’ll need to buy a proper grounding pole - There’s a strong odor when running so keep away from everyone as much as possible - Does not efficiently use all gas; I found that it will shut off when the gas is really low even though there’s still gas present; don’t expect it to burn dry but I think the tank design could be a little better to use up as much as possible - Doesn't come with a cover; would be nice to protect from the elements I was concerned based on other’s experiences that the unit wouldn’t work or was cheap. Will know once I get more than 25 hours. The unit’s longevity will also depend on how hard you push the unit. I bought it to handle <600 watts continuously as a more reliable substitute than a battery bank. It’s max is 900 watts per the manual. I also made the mistake of putting untreated fuel older than 30 days into the unit. Luckily it was just 16oz to test the unit. It’s imperative that you DO NOT put old untreated fuel in the unit. I noticed the engine sounded rougher and thought the unit was defective until I realized the issue. It’s recommended that you use fresh fuel treated with a stabilizer mixed with 2 cycle oil. Otherwise you risk the unit breaking down. For safety, I also ran all devices from a power surge protector and not directly connected to the unit. So far, I am happy with the unit and excited to use it again as it’s my first one. It serves my purpose which is to charge small units or run small appliances that amount to <600 watts vs $300 for a battery that has to be recharged. So far it’s worth the money. ... show more

  • That bang for your buck , if it's affordable and does the job . It's a great buy !!
Style: 1200w duplex socket
Runs and works , price is great to have power where ever , gave 4 stars because it is loud and surges . Does not idle well . I did get it to idle by adjusting the throttle and stopped surging but obviously throttling up just makes it louder but was still able to charge phones and watch a movie on projector screen while camping. Easy too assembly as the only assembly is screwing the handle on top in pre threaded holes . ... show more

  • Are you worried? Not sure you should be...
Style: 1200w duplex socket
Ok,, I've been eyeballing these small 2 stroke Genny's for some time, even the Harbor Freight older units before they were discontinued . First,, I was a Master Mechanic for 35 years for a major contractor in the US. on all types or heavy equipment to small, even 'yes, generators of all types and sizes. I needed a very small generator for my enclosed car trailer for both 12v and 120v work lamps. Not that I really had to have one mind you, but makes for more options!. I read quite a few of the reviews, watched what videos were/are available, then pulled the plug on this offering. Although I really don't like to support Chinese manufacturing,, out of the box I was reasonably impressed with not only the packaging, but overall first impression of the build quality putting eyes on it. NO, it's not a Honda, and depending on who reviewed these types of generator, they comment on 'noise' from annoying to acceptable. So,, filled it up with mixed fuel, choke ON, hand roped it a a dozen times (don't believe in a need to add oil in the plug hole but it is an option) to move mixed fuel/oil into the intake as well as the lower end. Now. Switch ON, choke ON!, started first pull! During Break-In, I ran it on a mix of 40:1 then switched to 50:1 for continued use. My first observation was,,, for a 2 stroke the noise level was really not over the top, and in reality, some of the older 4 stroke gen's can be much louder. It seems these gen's like to run on a moderate load, maybe 50% for the smoothest engine run condition. Ran it for a bit unloaded, then plugged in a modest load and it smooths right out and a very acceptable noise level for my need and application. I ran the 40:1 for about a hour until it ran out. On filling it with the now spec fuel blend, the carb float/needle had stuck, but a simple tipping of the gen and became unstuck and has been fine, no issues ever since. The fact that it has multiple 120v outlets is handy, but, also increases the 'potential' to overload (nice option though to add in devices without a splitter). The included 12v connector and parrot clamp harness (not imaged in the product photos) is another included handy option. The instruction manual is well written and laid out, although it is a simple machine. For the price, if longevity is decent, I don't think these can be beat as long as you don't throw loads at it that it can't handle. So,, for now, my purchase and my application for this machine seems very reasonable. I'll update later, or add more videos if possible. You can't expect much on a Gen below 200.00, but this one is a good representation of what these small units can do. My phone camera seemed to increase the engine running noise level, and hard to here me talk, but when my back was turned to the machine,, is a better representation of the actual noise levels... ... show more
