Weber grill cleaner works well for removing burnt on grease on the grates. After cleaning with a steel brush as recommended by Weber, some grease remains. When the grill is cool you can spray the grates, let it sit for a while and brush it off with the steel brush. It makes it easier to keep the grates clean. ... show more

    • Grilling Just Got Better
Consider a barbeque grill grate in continuous use for 8 months, almost never cleaned and badly corroded from the salt air near the sea. Voila! The perfect test platform for this product. I followed the package directions, liberally spraying the grate and waiting at least a minute before scrubbing it with a wire grill brush. An amazing amount of burnt burgers and barbeque sauce came off, along with a fair portion of the rust. I rinsed and repeated the process two more times until I got a like-new grill grate. Yes, it took three passes to get it completely clean, but I think anything stronger would have been too caustic for home use, probably requiring an EPA permit and a HAZMAT suit to use. I am now, officially, no longer too lazy to properly clean my barbeque grill grate after each use, thanks to this product. ... show more

I let the grate of my large Big Green Egg get pretty bad. Always cleaned the worst off with gentle grill scrapers often high heated it. Had high hopes this would work like oven cleaner. It does not work like oven cleaner. I didn’t want to use oven cleaner on the grate where food sits. I will live with a clean but discolored grill grate. ... show more
