The quality of these shocks is there. In my application, a budget TT-02 Rally chassis, the dampening of the shocks was on the tight side. After playing with different oil viscosity and springs, opening two more holes on the piston, got them to work better but realized the "issue" is on the o-rings at the shaft, since they are perfect to avoid leaks, this causes more friction on the shaft, since is a budget build and after the above mentioned modifications, got them to work fine, I will leave the O-ring test for later, already spent too much time tweaking these shocks. Long story short, these should be great for speed runs out of the box. For Rally or low friction terrain, they need work. ... show more

I feel that the springs that come with these shocks are too stiff so if you buy these spend a bunch of time breaking the springs in before you put them in your car, the shocks are pretty close to full with oil, but I take them apart and make sure they’re perfectly even I haven’t noticed that they are leaking so they are good in that respect. ... show more
