For the price, you really can't beat the value. They're not Tamiya TRF aluminum dampers but far better than stock plastic shocks. I did change the damper oil and also replaced the springs with Tamiya kit springs I had leftover in my spare parts bin. The 2 sets of springs it comes with were bit too sfiff for my tuning preferences. Driving my TA03 with these on, they work flawlessly. So far, after a month, no leaks. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So as somebody else stated the shocks do need to be opened up a little bit so that way you can bleed the strut to allow for some rebound as well as open up the holes in the valves to allow more fluid to pass through but all in all pretty good they aren’t yokomo or yeah racing adjustable but they’re surprisingly capable with some tweaks and spring changes and actually filling the oil chamber ... show more

Very nice good looking shocks that don't leak. Near perfect for a TT-02 if you're running a heavy battery as the springs are a little stiff but the fit perfect.

I picked up a Tamiya VW Bug Rally car (MF-01X). The upgraded Tamiya shocks were hard to find, and frankly, a bit expensive. I decided to try these, and they fit great. They come with two sets of springs, but the dark colored ones already installed seem to be just right.

I feel that the springs that come with these shocks are too stiff so if you buy these spend a bunch of time breaking the springs in before you put them in your car, the shocks are pretty close to full with oil, but I take them apart and make sure they’re perfectly even I haven’t noticed that they are leaking so they are good in that respect. ... show more
