Description

Sacrifice nothing with the Typhoon H Plus Pro Hexacopter from Yuneec. The Typhoon H Plus represents the best of both worlds in a UAV with its stability and image quality. The Typhoon H Plus features a 3-axis gimbal-mounted camera with a C23 1" sensor that's capable of capturing 20MP still photos and Ultra HD 4K video at 60 fps. The 3-axis gimbal is capable of continuous rotation for 360-degree image capture. This camera comes attached to a large, six-rotor airframe that has been designed to provide stable footage, even in winds exceeding 35 mph. Compared to its predecessor, the Typhoon H Plus can manage such feats along with a 40% reduction in noise. A tough and durable drone, the Typhoon H Plus can even withstand the loss of a rotor, remaining in flight to land safely using just five rotors. To help avoid such a fate and keep the Typhoon H safe is Intel's RealSense Technology, which is integrated into the Typhoon H to provide object detection and collision avoidance. Full control of everything the Typhoon H has to offer is in your hands with the included ST16S Ground Station remote controller. The Android-powered transmitter/receiver features a large, 7" built-in touch screen that's capable of activating intelligent flight modes or full manual operation. Intelligent Flight with Intel Intel RealSense Technology The Typhoon H Plus utilizes Intel's RealSense R200 camera and an Intel Atom processor to build a 3D model of the Typhoon's surroundings in real-time while in flight. Intel's RealSense Technology uses this 3D data to detect obstacles and navigate around them, keeping the Typhoon safe and providing you with increased filmmaking freedom. Intel RealSense is also programmed to work seamlessly with the Follow Me mode, keeping the main camera trained on the action, while the R200 avoids any hazards along the way. Smart Control Included. ST16S Ground Station

abunda_amazon_reviews First of all I want to confess that I posted a not so nice review yesterday before I found out a couple of positive features of the Typhoon H Plus. I deleted it after I worked out some of the problems. I was having issues finding a direct battery replacement for the Plus and found out that I can use any of Typhoon line of drones. Guess there is such a demand for the original Plus batteries that it is difficult to find new ones. I have been flying drones for almost two years now and all of them have been DJI Products. I needed to upgrade to a more professional camera and when a friend of mine showed me his H model I was very impressed. I did some research and really was impressed with the specs on the H Plus. I loved the 360 degree 20mp camera which can do 4K 60fps. That was pretty much the clincher especially with the retractable landing gear. I had considered waiting for the P5 release to see if camera and specs might compare, but decided to purchase the H Plus. After going through the setup procedure and putting in two days of flight testing I am very happy with this bird! It flies like a dream and the controller is so easy to figure out especially with the brighter screen and solid feel. I did a CCC mission today as I was very accustomed to using the Litchi app and did have some reservations about the fact that the H Plus does not support it. I found it very easy to setup as well as the other intelligent modes. I even think that the new software update to the ST16S is very much improved over my friends standard H ST16 model. This bird is really very low noise too with the bigger size which is the same as the 520 using the same motors and props. I think this is pretty much the same as getting the 520 for a much lower price, especially for photographers like myself. Great starter/traveler for moderate flights
Great video and picture quality. Easy to use. Two batteries give you 40-45 mins of flight. Takes about 1-2 hour to recharge. No sound, but I use a mic if I need it. Wish it came with a power handle for the camera/gimbal. Controller is great as well. Sometimes hard to get the camera just right but practice helps a lot. Everything works as advertised. Avoidance system can sometimes be a hassle when you need to get close but you can turn it off when you’ e got a close eye on it.

Wonky camera; jerky flight behavior
Shortly after unboxing, setting up, calibrating, and pre-flight inspections, I was able to launch the H Plus. It wasn't long - maybe about 5 minutes or so into the flight - the camera began randomly tilting wildly, rotating, juddering, wobbling, then straightening out, flying irratically (jerky), all without input to do so. So, I am returning the unit in hopes tha I can get another that works well.

Watch out for fake competitors reviews.
I own multiple drones, this is my only yuneec. I would buy again! Plenty of fake reviews here or people who just don’t know what they are doing! The camera DOES rotate 360. My flight time has been 18-20 minutes per battery. This drone flies as well as any of my higher “pro” and “pro 2” drones. Camera is unbeatable!!! This is definitely a drone that has gotten a bad name by dji fanBOYS!
