    • Such a Nice Kitchen Addition
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
Comes with 2 grating wheels, this is a fantastic tool to grate fresh parmigiano reggiano onto your meals. This is the 2nd one of these I've owned; the first one was stolen by a roommate. it's very durable/well made, strong plastic (I tend to kind of manhandle my tools). Upper level dishwasher save incl grating wheels and body of grater. Kinda also just nice to look at, it's pretty. Easy to clean-every surface is easily accessable if you want to hand wash. For the dishwasher I just open the device like a pair of scissors and lay it on the top rack. really, just a nice tool. Oh, you can put the blades in either for Right handed folks or us lefties. Get it. ... show more

    • Clever Design of a Useful Tool
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
Compact grater works better than alternatives for larger jobs. Our flat grater works well for small jobs and a micro grater is used almost daily for Parmesan or zesting citrus. The Zulu’s is used for dinner party grating of Parmesan, soft cheeses, chocolate, carrots, etc. It is much faster and neater for such jobs and cleanup is simple and easy - yes, it takes longer than a flat grater but overall it saves time. The only drawbacks seen in several years of use are (1) that some jobs require good hand strength: hard chocolate, carrots and hard cheese because the handle is short, giving minimal leverage, and the grip hand requires squeezing the top down, and (2) the springs fell off the handle a few years ago. The springs are superfluous and it works just as well without them because of the design. The tricky bit is knowing when the spring pops out so it doesn’t end up in the food. Zyliss should just delete the spring. Perhaps they have done so. ... show more

    • poor leverage because of little knob
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
the unit itself is very solid, i own a restaurant and wanted a sturdy unit. the problem , the little knob to grind with is absurd, there is no leverage when you are grating a hard cheese like parmesan,i am going to try and modify

    • Finally a rotary grater that doesn’t make your arms sore!
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
This is a wonderful grater. Its large grating wheel makes it much easier on your hand and arm, and allows you to grate faster. Super easy to use and clean, I highly recommend this product.

    • Good Grater with two drums.
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
I liked that the arm on the drum folded inward for storage. If you are used to older style rotary graters, this one will grate more per each revolution of the drum. A negative is that the faster you grate you have to have the grater canted slightly downward or it will throw cheese everywhere. Overall I would give this a 4.5 out of 5. ... show more

    • Very awkward to use
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
This product is very hard to use. I thought it was just too big for my hands but my husband hates it too. I can't hold it and push down on the cheese feeder at the same time. It's very difficult to turn. I'll probably only use it a few more times before throwing in the trash. I do not understand how people like it at all. It is easy to clean in the dishwasher. ... show more

    • Feels flimsy but works
Style: All Cheese Grater Rotary
We love this cheese grater but it feels flimsier than our older version from ten years ago (same brand). It’s works great, is easy to use (even for arthritic hands), and is easy to wash in a dishwasher. A small part did break off without a huge amount of use, but it’s still useable. However the flimsy feeling plastic construction makes me think it won’t last long. We have an older version (more than ten years old) that is a much sturdier plastic. Also because the design has changed slightly over the years, the older grating cylinders don’t work in the newer version. ... show more
