I made a great Mac and Cheese casserole today for a family party. The recipe called for shredded Cheddar and Gruyère and grated Parmesan cheese. Zulay worked incredibly well. In my rush to use it, I put the blades in the dishwasher and missed the instructions for assembly on the Amazon site and couldn’t find instructions in the box. I called the company and they were very helpful walking me through the assembly. (Which wasn’t difficult…I was just stressed & rushing to get things done.) The cost of this machine is quite a bit less than I would have expected, especially after using it. I had no problem with secure suctioning on the counter top and did use a tip I read in the Amazon reviews of placing a drop of water on the bottom of the base before locking it in place. Great machine on fist run and I anticipate many more uses! I’ve shared my wonderful experience using this machine with co-workers and family…and they all want one! ... show more

Very easy to set up and use. Make quick, easy work of your block of cheese. Recommend to anyone who is tired of dried out store bought cheese. Only issue I see is a question of durability and longevity of the all plastic construction. Possible stress point I have identified would be the connection of the handle to the cylinder. Omg wow!! This product is so great! Originally purchased after we discovered what the white stuff on bagged cheese was. We now shred all our own cheese from natural blocks and the taste and melting is so much better. It's so easy and fast it adds no more time to our cooking. We now have started using it for homemade potato chips, Cucumber slices, shredded carrots, and shredded zucchini. It's much easier and safer than a mandolin. The product works well. It’s easy to assemble and take apart to clean. The handle and some of the other parts feel a bit flimsy. They are plastic but they have a lot of give. I haven’t had any issues but would imagine it could break or crack for something harder to shred/cut

Only problem I found, is the shoot for the food to escape the tool is rather short ! Hard to have a bowl under it to catch say , cheese, carrots or anything else you are grinding. Not a perfect design. But it works.
