Love this! Makes it a little easier to cut little squares of butter, you have to still take a knife to separate them, but it makes it even slices!

I ordered two of these and they are perfect. I really like these. I did not know that they even existed till I saw a neighbor use one. They are nice and I highly recommend them. You will love it. Let the butter soften just a little bit, but they are perfect, the slice comes out great

    • Love the convenience of it!
So initially I had problems cutting the sticks. I was either doing it upside down or the butter was right out of the fridge. Then today I left a stick of butter out since my previous slices were practically gone and I wanted more butter than that for my biscuits. I used the stick to rub on the foil then when they finished cooking I was going to add some to each biscuit. When I went back in and saw that I left the butter out and right next to the oven I decided to come back and look at the pictures to see which way was correct and then I used it on that butter and it went down so easy but not all the way so I pushed it out the rest of the way and it was great! Of course we still need sticks for other recipes and the pictures show a butter stick cut in half so perhaps that is the European butter Julia was referring to. Overall I am very happy with it 😊 Even though the first time when the butter was cold and it was upside down I still used it and loved the fact that some were in half and that gave me an idea to cut the halves in half again for buttered toast 🙂 ... show more
