I have these in size medium which indicates the length of sock, not what size the sock fill fit. They go up a few inches above my ankle. I have size 9 mens or 11 womens, and these fit fine. Plenty of stretch. What impresses me is that these aren't super see through thin like a lot of novelty socks. Thin, but they are dense. Warm. AND, the fact that the lettering is grippy, blows my mind. I love grippy slipper socks. Just how you'd expect funny lounge socks to feel. The bottoms are non-slip and the fit is perfect, they are warm and comfortable and very nice to wear around the house. Just the other day I had nowhere to be and ended up wearing them all day. Again, this is something I've needed and not only have they really given me confidence walking on the tile floors but they're VERY comfy and look cool too. Overall I don't like my feet touching the floor and don't like wearing slippers at home all the time, plus when I sit in my recliner sometimes I get cold feet so these socks are great for me and the saying on the bottom is just describes me well.
