Only one bird (a Snake Bird) hunting fish off my morning sunshine dock has been brave enough to walk over the sharp tips. Rather than screw the spikes down I drilled just below the Composite top board ad using extra long zip ties tighten them into place. When grandkids come to fish I snip them off and the next day zip them back. By the way the bird only used the dock one time and moved on to a neighbors dock!

FINALLY found a solution to pesky birds at my front door. We have a covered front porch and there is a 2" lip on the stucco above the door. At night with the porch lights on, I have been dealing with birds perching and pooping all over the door and porch for years. I have tried multiple solutions and nothing has worked until these. I used Gorilla double sided tape to attach them to the stucco. It's been a week and not a single bird of poop or signs of birds. WONDERFUL!

Thought it would keep birds from nesting on new outdoor shelter. Had the exact opposite effect. The spikes gave the birds a very solid nesting space and actually increased nest building by allowing the straw and sticks to be incredibly secure.
