  • Good little tool as long as you pay attention to detail and know it's limitations
I had seen a lot of reviews on this bracket prior to purchase and can say the majority of issues people are having is due to either an unfamiliarity with tools or just a lack of common sense. Some reviews say it's difficult to put together but it was easy peasy i think max I put in 8 screws and it took all of 5 minutes to assemble. I just went off of the picture on the box. Note: There will be extra bolts and bushings because some grinders have a larger thread for the handles so that is normal. Others reviews were saying it cuts wrong etc. Well here's a tip. Use a speed square to check that your blade is at 90 degrees vertical so you can make the necessary adjustments. I then clamped a squared block of wood in the vise and butted it up to the blade get the horizontal squared up as well. As long as you make sure your blade is square and you tighten it all up you should have no problem. Be gentle with the handle as you come down. Let the blade cut the metal on its own and do not try to force it. Putting too much force when you come down will cause uneven cuts, unnecessary strain on the bracket and spindle and potentially shatter your disc leading to injury. It should go without saying ALWAYS USE YOUR PPE AND USE EYE PROTECTION!!! Even with the guards there is still a risk of an errant metal splinter flying back at you. That being said this is for your DIYer if you need something heavy duty for shop use then this is not the item for you. I like that it was green and matched my Ryobi cordless grinder and the thread on the handle nut matched my original handle so I swapped that instead for a more OEM look. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and will be using this to cut angle iron for a smoker I'm working on this weekend. Recommended 5/5 stars ... show more

  • Honest Review: ZWSJLC Upgraded Angle Grinder Stand Sliding
What I like • More stable and precise cuts than hand-holding the grinder. Once mounted, the grinder feels very secure, and sliding the stand gives a smooth, controlled cut — much easier to get straight cuts than when I try to do it freehand. • Adjustable angles and compatibility. I could mount my standard 115 mm grinder (works with 100/115/125 mm models) and the adjustable clamp and angle-adjusting mechanism made it fairly flexible for different jobs. • Solid build and stable base. The cast-iron base feels sturdy under pressure; vibrations are minimal and the whole setup stays put while cutting or grinding. • Good for repetitive cuts / heavier tasks. When working on metal pieces, rebar, or multiple cuts — tasks where consistency matters — this stand turned out to be very helpful, making those tasks safer and more accurate than using the grinder by hand. What to know / What could be better • It doesn’t include the grinder itself — stand only. You need to have a compatible angle grinder (100/115/125 mm, with correct mounting holes) for it to work. • Setup and adjustments take a little effort. For some jobs I had to adjust the clamping and fine-tune the alignment before cutting; it’s not as quick as just grabbing a handheld grinder. • Bulkier / less portable than a standalone grinder. Because of the base and sliding mechanism, this setup takes more space and isn’t as convenient to throw in a toolbox. • Not ideal for quick, one-off jobs. For small, quick cuts it sometimes feels like overkill — the benefit is in precision and repeatability rather than convenience. Real-World Use & Overall Impression I used this stand for metal-cutting tasks (steel pipe, rebar, scrap pieces) and for prepping material where I knew I’d need consistent cuts. The results: straight, clean cuts with much less effort, and noticeably safer than free-hand grinding. After a few sessions, the stand proved reliable — no loose parts, and the sliding function remained smooth. Verdict If you often work on metal or materials requiring repeated cutting, or if precision and safety matter — this ZWSJLC stand is a worthwhile addition. It transforms a handheld grinder into a more controlled, stable setup, and for the price and build quality I think it’s a solid pick for a DIY shop or garage. ... show more

  • More than I paid for...
You usually get what you pay for. In this case, I think I got more. For the price this is a great tool. Obviously, it's not going to cut structural or large steel. But for small projects around the house or for hobbies I'm very pleased with it. It took maybe 1/2 an hour to assemble it and then mount my grinder, and to adjust it to be straight and square. I did add some flat washers and lock nuts in a few places. I'm a little OCD in that regard. I'm cutting 1/2" square, hollow steel spindles for a stairway. Probably .04 wall thickness. No issues. Depth of cut is a little limited but changing to a larger diameter cutting wheel can help with that. I'd buy again, would recommend, as long as you're realistic about what your expectations are. ... show more

  • Reasonably sturdy but has several flaws
The assembly instructions are in fact useless. Just follow the pictures. As for use cases I am not sure there is a good one you can’t solve some other way - that’s the real issue here. Other tools do the job better. This stand is not accurate enough to do what you think it will. Flaws include basic clearance issues. Trying to cut square tubing the tool collides with the material before cutting all the way through. Then you have to flip and or rotate the material and risk a sloppy cut. If the power button is on the face of the tool it will be next to impossible to reach as the mounting mechanism blocks that side. There is also way too much adjustment to the point that you may never get and maintain a square cut. The angle adjustment is extremely tight, hard to reach with material in the clamp, and ultimately inaccurate. It should also tilt both ways, -45 not just 45. I think the only way this tool works would be to install a blade way too big. A 5”+ blade in a 4-4.5” tool. Then we have little basic issues like vibration shaking loose bolts (bolts which are the result of cheap design decisions.) 4 different allen keys for the various bolts. Ultimately the value for the money isn’t here. It is far quicker and less frustrating to just get a metal blade in your circular saw. ... show more
