Good mount. Solid construction. It's not "anti-theft", but I would say it will prevent anyone without pliers at minimum from taking it. No chance of this falling off, secure solid to post. Good viewing angles and able to move wherever I want with ease. You need to turn off "Google dock" in settings to be able to use the nest camera without the google magnetic docking thing. That's all. Just switch that setting to "aftermarket mount" and your camera will work fine.

Bought this for my Nest camera, didn't feel comfortable with the magnet holder hanging 20' off the ground, came with all necessary hardware to mount the camera, I even installed a silicone cover on the camera and it's looks good, have to install power cable if you are using one before mounting to bracket. Hopefully it lasts as long as the camera.

When I first installed the Google Nest In/Out battery camera, using this bracket, it was quickly apparent that the bracket interferes very slightly with the power connector when the connector fits into the camera. This bothered me and I was thinking that I could simply use a rotary tool to grind off a little bit of the bracket. But then after looking at it again, I decided that it wasn't enough of an issue to bother with doing this. The only other thing that I didn't like is that, depending on how high you mount the camera and how much it needs to angle down, the back-vertical part of the bracket interferes with the camera and does not allow you to angle the camera down as far as you might want. If the distance from the back-vertical part of the bracket to the hole in the angle bracket (the hole where the bolt that supports the camera is located) were just one-half inch greater, this would not occur. It occurs only if you need to angle the camera down fairly sharply, and only if you don't rotate the intermediate piece to point the camera partly to one side. I've decided to move the camera because I'm not happy with where I put it. I also don't like having the power plug on the upper surface of the camera, so I'm going to turn the bracket the other way, which is not the way it is shown in most photos. Most photos show it suspended from underneath the bracket. To orient the camera with the plug on the lower surface, the camera needs to sit over the bracket, rather than be suspended from underneath. The issues I discovered are too minor for me to consider exchanging this bracket for the similar bracket that has a cut-out to provide clearance for the power connector. If I had it to do over, I would consider buying the other one even though it costs more. A pair of these was $24, whereas a pair of the other one, purchased individually at $16 per bracket, would come to $32. I noticed in the pictures of the other one that it also has the problem with limited vertical angle for the camera, which is due, with either bracket, to the fact that the intermediate piece has to swing back toward the rear of the bracket in order for the camera to point down. If this is actually a problem (with either bracket, due to mounting the camera so high that you need to angle it down), this can be rectified by simply turning the bracket over so that the camera sits on top of the bracket. If you do this, the middle section that swings will need to swing forward in order to angle the camera down, so there won't be any collision. At the end of the day, it's six of one vs. a half dozen of the other. You can pay $4 more per camera for the other bracket with the notch cut out to give complete clearance for the connector. Or you can ignore this, because it isn't going to be an issue unless you have a reason to need to routinely remove and reconnect the power cable.

My new 4 cameras would not turn on. After spending hours on my cameras, online and speaking to google etc. Was told that you could not use these brackets and only use the included magnet wall brackets for them to power on. Even though it clearly shows pics with the power cord running by the bracket. So, I removed the camera from the bracket and attached the magnet to the back of the camera... BEHOLD... it worked! Back to touching the bracket with no magnet and ... no power. So, just for fun, I reattached the camera back to the bracket and THEN attached the magnet to the camera and IT WORKS!!! So, remember to attach the magnets and life will be good again. No where could I find that for the barckets to work the magnet had to be attached too. Good luck!

I like them. They seem a little flimsy but are pretty strong. The only weakness is where it attaches to the Cam and this is because of the design of the camera with that little aperture for mounting.

Freaking awesome. If your smart, you can make this work on Gen1 Nest Outdoor Cameras. My advice, Remove inplace bolt, and replace using a really strong magnet with a screwhole, a nut, and a bolt.
