The apple keyboard folio that I bought with my device showed noticeable damage after 6-8 months, offered absolutely no protection for my device, and did not leave my apple pencil secure. This case protects my iPad much better, is just as size economic, and has only a few scrapes and dents and minimal overall wear after nearly three years of daily handling and travel. It also has saved my pencil from being lost as I take this device nearly everywhere I go. I would probably not recommend it for a child's device as I doubt it would stop the screen from shattering from repeated falls, and the pencil holder isn't the easiest to clean. However for a teen or adult using an iPad (be it recreational or for work/study purposes) this is an excellent choice.

GORGEOUS color. Works just how it should - easy to install. Quality is great - the case itself is soft. A little smooth and can slip if not careful but hasnt yet. Wish it had a better stand configuration to watch movies/videos though.

This case fits my iPad Pro perfectly! Nice and snug, I do not fear it will fall out at all. I mostly only use at home, so it is not in and out of a bag or purse to be able to say how well the cover stays put to protect the screen. It does seem like the cover might shift around in a backpack because the magnetic feature is not very strong, so if you are planning on doing that, this might not be for you. Mine is always sitting on a desk, counter top, or coffee table, and I want the screen covered at all times when I'm not using it. Charging with the case on is not an issue, the charging cord fits through the hole just fine. My 2nd gen wireless Apple Pencil fits nice and snug in the space on the case, and it charges fine with no issues. While is sits nice and snug, it is easy to push and pop it out with a firm push through the hole on the underside. I really like that feature. I ordered the lavender color, and knew based on some reviews that it might not be a true lavender color, and it's not, lol. It's more muted, more of a grey-bluish color, it's not ugly and I'm totally ok with it. My main goal was to get a case on my iPad asap to protect it from getting scratched up while it sits on my lap or desk when I draw. I only use this iPad for creating artwork, and I feel that this case will serve the purpose to protect it from scratches. I don't think it would protect from a shattered screen should it fall onto my tile floor, but that's what the Apple protection plan is for.

Even though this is a matte color, every time I have a bit of oil or grease on my fingers, it leaves marks on the case. They don't wipe off. The color options are great. It works well. Holds the pen well, folds into a stand well. Happy with the purchase overall, but glad I got a dark color to hide the stains (dark teal).

These are good, basic tablet protectors that do everything you want them to. They cover and protect the edges of your iPad without encroaching in the screen or screen protectors. The Apple pencil (2nd gen) holder is very secure and allows for charging, and the pencil itself is easy to access. The front flap works well as a cover and folds intuitively into a support for angled landscape viewing, and it sleeps and wakes the iPad when closed or open, respectively. I find it easiest to use, when I’m holding it, with the pencil at the bottom, but with the pencil at the top when on the counter for landscape viewing. My wife doesn’t have an Apple pencil, but stores a regular pencil in the slot for the Apple pencil, just to have one near at hand. I got her a dark blue case and got a dark green case for me. The colors are matte and muted and tend toward gray, which we both like, because we aren’t trying to attract attention to the tablets. These won’t show dirt. You might prefer brighter colors (and there are plenty to choose from), depending on your tastes.

I don't know much about iPad cases so I really have nothing to compare this one to, but it gets the job done. Colors are nice and vibrant. Lightweight case that offers some type of protection. Easy to apply. It's slim fit so it feels nice when I use mh iPad to draw. The stand on the back only has one angle though but I don't mind that. I’ve had this case for a few months now and For me personally, this case is not enough for travel however this case can stay on my iPad and fit perfectly in my travel case for protection when traveling. But this case is perfect for all my at-home needs.

I’ve had this case before and it was worn down so I purchased a new one. On the new one the back started to peel up so now it won’t stand properly. Kind of disappointing since the first one I had lasted over a year.
