  • Better for data processing than gaming
Read the online reviews if you plan to use this for gaming. The 16GB version is about to be released, but it still has a lot of throughput limitations. If you are only gaming at 1080p, then this GPU might be something to consider. However, for data processing, its performance is close to my RTX 3070, but uses only about half the watts. That's what I was hoping for -- good FP32 crunching with low power usage, so five stars for that data processing. But gamers really need to compare this with the other great options out there, even in the used GPU market on Amazon. Pros: Low watts. Runs cool and quiet. Fits smaller cases. Cons: Bottlenecks within the GPU (8GB, VRAM bandwidth, 8 lane PCIe) cripple its performance in many popular games, especially at high resolutions. ... show more

  • Great Card for an Upgrade
I have a four year old gaming computer with a 2060 in it and a 550w power supply. This card has the same power requirements as a 2060 and gives me a general 60%-70% boost in performance. If you are like me and have an older computer with a smaller power supply, this is a great option to get you into a faster, current gen card. I shopped 30 and 40 series cards but they were all too much for my power supply. This card is getting a lot of hate because it’s not top of the line, but for a very capable card with low power requirements it’s great. It fits that role very well. ... show more

  • Very Impressive, not deserving of all the bad reviews
My Intel A770 failed and needed to be replaced, so I purchased the most hated GPU, the RTX4060TI. I am not much of a gamer, more of a creator, the A770 worked well but fails in comparison to the 4060Ti. Blender and video editing programs run in real time with this card, something every creator wants. It is amazing. Completely silent to me, my wife says my hearing is failing though. If you want a affordable GPU, I would recommend this one. Do you need 16Gb? Probably not. The A770 is 16Gb and look at the Unigen benchmark difference. Sometimes improved technology compensates for the difference in VRam. I hope my little review helps you choose. ... show more

  • Seems like this GPU was built for SFF
Okay I get it. Its a subpar GPU compared to prior generations, but I'm using it in its probably only real world use case that matches perfectly. Jammed this into a tiny 7 liter case (Skyreach S4T-L) using a GaN 500W PSU. It works prefect in size and power consumption for my travel rig that can game decent at 1080 and some 1440. This will not fit into the standard Skyreach S4 Mini- but an MSI dual fan 4060Ti will... ... show more

  • It's a really improvement?
If you think you'll be able to play with all settings on ultra or high, you should lower your expectations with this card. A few years ago, this would have been an improvement, but not so much now. 8GB of VRAM is no longer enough for gaming at 4K. While having more CUDA cores and DLSS3 might make you think it’s a significant upgrade, it really isn't, as the main performance bottleneck in games is resolution, not how much data is being processed. It's true that DLSS3 increases performance, but always at the cost of image clarity since it relies on AI upscaling. My conclusion, after purchasing and testing this card as an upgrade from an RTX 2040 with 12GB of VRAM, is that the improvement is almost unnoticeable at 4K, and in some cases, even slightly worse. On 1080p monitors (1920x1080), the improvement is not significant either. My recommendation: save up a bit more money (around $150) and get the 16GB version instead of this one. ... show more
