Live the tool. Solid construction, parts all fit solidly and flush. The joints are tight to the point that it takes a little pressure to fold it out flat, and holds its shape when opened up. I give it 4 since it seems that there are multiple choices of this type of tool, and this one is on the higher side for price. Size makes it great for one handed use. I tested this against two high-quality regular levels I have had for years and it seems to be very accurate. It is a great addition to my tool box, perfect for small, tight spaces, checking level around objects, or measuring level in two directions at the same time. The blue liquid makes it easy to read. This is my first folding level so I was initially willing to give it a break. I figured the joints would make it hard to get consistent readings. However, as I was testing I found some readings seemed a bit off. It wasn't until I placed it on another metal level that I found the issue. On one side it reads differently than the other. This is just one segment and the joints are suspended to keep them from interfering. I've included a picture for reference. This means the body of this segment is actually uneven. That's just sloppy manufacturing. I don't know if any QC testing was done at the factory, but if so then they missed this. As for the joints, they are stiff and hard to adjust. I think I prefer this to being loose. As the joints break in they will be looser and I'd rather they break in to a useable state than getting floppy. It would be nice if you had some way of measuring the angle but each joint is a double joint so I can see why that feature would be difficult to implement. The magnets are a nice feature and could be useful in some situations. They are reasonably strong but not strong enough to hold up the whole level by a single point. You really need all the magnets on all the segments touching steel to hold it up. Overall, it's fine. I just can't give it a high rating because the manufacturer advertises it as high precision, and it's not. In my not so humble opinion precision tools need to be validated after manufacturing and that clearly wasn't done here. Now I have to break out a sharpie and mark one side of this level as bad so I won't accidentally use it. ... show more

    • A handy compact level for those small jobs.
The product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. This is a multi-function foldable level that does not take up much room and has a number of capacities. The neat thing about this tool is that it folds up into a small area and does not consume a lot of room in my tool box. When it unfolds it is about 31 inches in length. It primarily is made of aluminum and is hinged with sturdy hinges, when open are very solid and do not move unless you move it. It is red and black with vertical and horizontal bubbles as well as 90 degree bubbles. The hinged level allows you to work with angles. Admittedly, I was a little bit surprised when I saw this level, because I have never seen one quite like it. It is ideal for those scenarios where you need to use a level in a tight space, particularly close to a corner, edge, or hard-to-reach spot. With this version of a level, your options increase, and you are able to use the level easily and effectively in spots that would otherwise be challenging or impossible…this is because, with the foldable design, you can utilize leverage and just simply have a better grip on the level, at the same time as, for example, holding a picture frame in place. It is a very simple design, but very creative, and impressive. It appears to very well made and durable. It also has magnets on one side, which provide a nice option for storage if nothing else.
