    • Its the real deal. Well built, looks great and worked flawlessly.
I was hoping all the good reviews I had read were real. Sure enough they are! It came with good instructions and a extra set of contacts. The variable speed work well and the unit just feels solid and well built. Plenty of power and never bogged down or acted in anyway like it was labored. The only reason I didnt give it a solid 5 was because the pads are not 5 star pads. They are good, but not as good as a premium pad and are on the small side for a 6" pad. The orange pad had damage and a couple of small tear outs after a few minutes of use on the back of a guitar. I have no idea how it was damaged as the guitar was smooth as silk and had been sanded flat and semiglossed with up to 7000 grit paper. Other than that everything I have done with this RO polisher has been great and the more I use it the better I like it. It seems heavy at first, but it is well balanced and one hand operation was easy and predictable. The soft start and soft stop are excellent features that allow you to get a grip on things and have zero surprises about the direction its going to go. The finished product after a 4 step series for a poly finish is "glass". I used Meguiars U compound and polish to be on the safe side and avoid burn thru on my first project and was not disappointed. I will use other compounds I have after I become more familar with the pads, as I have only used microsoft bonnets in the past. The finished product looked as good as my 10" cotton wheeled buffer. I have other buffers and polishers that I have literally wore out and was hoping to find something that didnt break the bank. I believe my friends this polisher is worth every penny and a lot more than I gave for it. I'm a Happy, Happy Camper! ... show more

The unit looks nicely made and feels pretty good in the hand. It is quieter than other orbitals I've used in the past and is smoother vibration-wise, as well. Wish the warranty was more than 90 days or that they might offer an extended warranty for a few bucks more. Would give me more confidence that it is built for the long haul. I also would've liked to see a parts list or at least, availability of key replacement parts available to know that it isn't just a throwaway tool in the end, however long or short its life will be. I bought this after already buying a regular rotary for around the same cost and this long throw polishers is ten times better then the other one I bought!!! Works so much better due to the long throw abilities.

I like the way this works. My 1 drawback is that it is heavy. I am a novice at this, so maybe it is a norma l weight for a buffer. I used Meguires compound for clear coat and an orange pad. It didn't leave any swirl marks. This on a metallic black 2012 Buick. It never had any attention to paint. It looks great. (I Did clay it first) . ... show more
