I normally don’t write reviews. But after 3 years of using this system I am ready. First, the cameras are unbelievably clear. You can zoom in and count the pimps on the neighbors kid’s face about 30’ away. I have the 4 camera setup. I should’ve gotten the 8. Customer service through the app is great! The app is a little hard to navigate but “Jar” was great. He helped me reboot the system & reconfigure my app. I can only speak to the system I bought 3 years ago. My cameras did not differentiate between human & animal. So any movement & you’ll get a notification. Again for my system I have to update it using a desktop & a usb drive. Also, my system interface on the DVR is cumbersome. Setup is quite tedious. But like I said, Jar from customer service was a great help. Oh & we used the footage in court for an incident. We won….

This system seems to be a fairly good option for value surveillance. Haven't had the product long but, barring any sort of catastrophic failures, it seems to be doing it's job well. Daytime colors are accurate enough, night time vision is decent but not fantastic (and maybe it's common in surveillance systems, but it seems the night vision is slightly further with lower resolutions). System has motion detection, but it seems to trigger over everything larger than gnat so the little "md" letting you know something moved pops up almost constantly. System was fairly straightforward to install, essentially plug & play. All of the different components feel lightweight & cheap, but in fairness how they feel doesn't matter all that much, at least not to me. I haven't hooked the DVR up via ethernet, so I can't speak for the app usefulness/usability. Overall, I can't find anything too off-putting about the DVR/Camera combo. If you're looking for a basic surveillance system for a decent price, I would recommend giving this a try.

Well, after a year and a half with this system (8 cameras) all I can say is that it's a wash. It was reasonably priced, but it's left me wishing I had spent more on somebody else's better quality system. I'll address the DVR first. It has many shortcomings. The software features are clunky, and lacking any settings for any sort of WiFi IPC range extender. This is AN IMPORTANT OMISSION. The antennas are fixed and not detachable or extendable. The beeper on the unit is loud and obnoxious, and cannot be disabled, forcing me turn off automated maintenance. There is only one internet port ( more on this in a sec) As to the cameras: In WiFi mode, they do not even come close to their maximum stated range. Expect HALF the stated number, with poor signal strength and thus poor frame rates as a result at the half range number. The adjustment screw for changing the camera angle is TOO SHORT. It barely has any thread engagement, is painted black, falls out easily during adjustment and is easily lost (ask me how I know). I had one of eight camera fail 6 months in, replaced free by ZOSI (more on that in customer service). At the highest resolution, you cannot make out a car license plate at 20 feet. The included ten foot extension antennas did NOTHING to improve the signal. Don't waste money on them. The camera power supplies will cover of both sockets of a two prong outlet. This is important consideration in an outdoor installation with outdoor outlets up to the latest code with clear plastic covers. You will NOT be able to close the cover if you plug in off the bottom socket, and the power supply will be exposed to the elements. In all other respects I have found the cameras adequate, with decent image quality and night vision range. They have stood up to the weather pretty well. But IF you want to hard wire these via Ethernet cable, you are going to have to buy a switch because the DVR only has one port. Multiple cameras, plugged into the switch, and then the DVR, which a can only presume will work. As to customer service, it's polite, but difficult. Obviously you are talking to someone in China. They like to debate you and get you to try a whole lot of things to fix your problem. One thing at a time, one e-mail at a time, ONE E-MAIL PER DAY. Some of them had me going outside in bad weather, up on the ladder, back and forth until I just told them I wasn't going to do everything they demanded over a period of days.To make things worse, It was often a different agent whom I had to start over at the beginning with. After several days of this nonsense, taking photos of the camera, serial numbers from the DVR, QR codes etc, they sent a new camera for the one that failed. I am not saying they were not polite, they were just doggedly inefficient and troublesome to communicate with. There is no manual included, and what they tell you to download is more like a quick start guide. That's insufficient. So if you are on a tight budget, you might look at Zosi. But otherwise I'm not sure I recommend it based on the performance claims that seem vastly inflated.
