Not ideal for beginners, my friends and I recently started a podcast (The Dollies Podcast on YouTube) and I bought this for that, however I ran into many issues with connectivity, having to buy a "converter" for USB since the regular connection did not work for my PC (issues in quality) and my many tech friends had to help me change settings because the sound is slightly off with lots of background static noise, but the sound quality itself is actually quite good however you have to speak DIRECTLY into it like you can't be near it but your mouth has to nearly touch it to pick up your voice clearly even at 100% volume. Easy to assemble and it's not heavy or anything, just wish for the price that the quality was a bit better or easier to use. (I understand there are more expensive mics but still) ... show more
