I really like this! It took me "Mrs Not-Technical" some time to figure it out! The manual is pretty useless for first timers like me AND the print is TINY!!! Even my friend with good eyesight borrowed my 2.0 readers;)))) More time needed to search out the manual online for bigger print and therefore ease of reading! Anyway, regardless of what the manual said, I tried and tried but couldn't find the Nexigo on my laptop once I plugged everything in. I could see the APP but when I opened the camera APP it was always the HP pre installed one... very frustrating!! Then I tried all the GOOGLE info but none said the following... "Disable the pre-installed camera APP" I took a chance with some common (not technical, sense) and disabled the pre installed camera on my HP laptop. Yay!!! There it was! The NexiGo camera !! I also downloaded the NexiGo software (consider myself a professional now:) and played around with that too giving me some nice color/light options etc... Without this software tho the camera is great, but just some nice extra touches from the software and you can save the different settings too. The remote is a great idea! It is very responsive and I LOVE the zoom in and out feature. My patients don't need to see my cats walking behind me:) which I know they always do, and I am able to get a good fill of my head and shoulders in the screen. I would have loved it to be a clip-on webcam... I find the way it attaches to my laptop feels somewhat fragile and does not leave many options for position or raising. I will be taking the webcam on and off as I am remotely working in different places with my laptop so putting it on and off leaves me a bit nervous as it doesn't attach very securely and takes some time to replace in the right spot every time. All in all Im going to say I'm happy. Im a clinical mental health therapist and will be using a video platform for therapy sessions so wanted something with serious options and clarity. This fits the bill so far. I have yet to use it for business as this review its just after I managed to install it and do some self positive psychology therapy on myself after all the frustrations of installing it... ha! Of course many reviews say it's easy to install and use, so I'm going to admit it's highly likely "lack of new user technical knowledge" that being me:) Go ahead and try it. I find that technology is never a one size fits all so regardless of other and my review try it for yourself! ... show more

Pros: Price Point Picture Quality Zoomable lens Tri-pod connectivity Remote Control Included USB C adapter included Dedicated software for the camera Build quality is nice, it seems decently durable Nice and well packed Responsive customer service Cons: Privacy shutter is just a flimsy plastic sticker The remote is sometimes unresponsive Mic is not the best I needed a new webcam and I previously had an older Nexigo branded one and I was very pleased with that. The previous still works perfect but I designated that to my work PC and wanted one for the home office. The N940p did not disappoint and I will be keeping it. With the correct lighting, the picture is super clear and crisp, if you are in a poorly lit space you will see film grain as this is not a dslr, it is a webcam and not a super fancy one at that. This being said, I tested it with just natural day light coming through a window on an overcast day and the low light compensation looked great. Then I tested it at night with not a lot of light and the picture was pretty grainy wherever there wasn't light directly on it. And to be fair, I have never came across a webcam at this price point where you don't get film grain in low lighted areas, its a webcam, not a cinema camera. Now in this low light environment I placed a washed out white light behind my monitor to shine on my face and the picture looked pretty good. The included remote was actually one of the main selling points for me, and it works good. Sometimes it is unresponsive but 95% of the time it works perfect. A cool feature is the power button, you can actually turn it off with the remote as well as pan, zoom, mic controls and image flip. Overall 4 out of 5 stars, I left one star off due to a few minor things like the mic quality, the included privacy shutters and the remote responsiveness not being perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a simple webcam for conferencing or video chat, even streaming. But also want the added picture quality and functionality of a zoomable lens and remote control. ... show more
