I bought this Zoom set last January to use with my Silhouette Cameo 4. This sketch set has upped my card making exponentially and is seamless to use 100% of the time. Not sure why more people don’t know about Zoom because it blows Silhouette sketch pens and silhouette pen adapters out of the water. You will not be disappointed!     • Better than the original Silhouette, but not designed for all type C Silhouette machines
I have a Curio 2 and the same problems with the original Silhouette pen holder type c that everyone else does -- it cracks. I needed the pen holder to work so bad, and I've already broken 2 of the original pen holders, so I ordered this, as I like the design better. I figured that since it works in the Cameo 4, which shares the same type C carriage as my Curio 2, that it would work. But it's not designed for the Curio 2, and even tho it will fit in the tool holder on the machine, the only method for determining where to place the pen, height-wise, only works for the Cameo. Now, I'm keeping it, because I can make it work, but it's far from ideal. Also, there was no info in the package, not even a QR code or link to instructions. I had to pull up the company's video on YouTube for the Cricut to find out that the instructions for the Silhouette version were the same. Thanks, Zoom Precision, for wasting at least 30 minutes of my time on that. How about some actual instructions in the package next time?! If you have the Curio 2, you know that your machine can vary the tool heights for different materials' thicknesses. So, even though this holder WILL fit in the Curio 2 tool carriage, you have to do some creative stuff to get the pen height right. I measured the original type C holder distance from where it sits in the tool carriage to the tip of the pen and using a caliper, put my pen in this tool holder with the same distance to the tip of the pen, and it works. I will 3D print a guide tool for myself so I can do this process faster. Also, while this design is functionally better than the original pen holder, it is also flawed and will always result in a slightly misaligned pen tip because the screw just pushes the pen to one side of the holder. So your tip will not be centered, and if you're doing a print and sketch where alignment matters a lot, it WILL be offset. I am also considering ways to better center the pen in this holder. The one thing I like about this holder is that the pen holds steady while drawing, resulting in a cleaner line than the original pen holder provides. Hooray for that. So if you own a Curio 2 like me, I can't recommend buying this unless they update it to help Curio 2 users... and *gasp* maybe even actually provide instructions for non-Cricut users (cuz, you know, we do exist!). If you own a Cameo 4 or 5, yeah, I'll take the off-center pen tip on this holder all day every day over the Silhouette design. This thing won't break on you, even though it costs 4x the price of Silhouette one (but you'll break at least that many of the Silhouette ones to make it worth the price!) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am in love with this pen/marker holder tool set combo. My Cameo 5 auto detects the tool, so it makes sending the job super easy. It has held every pen/marker I’ve thrown at it super steady. They DO NOT move in the slightest. This company’s pen/marker holder tool and embossing/etching tool have been my favorite 3rd party tool investments I have made for my new Silhouette Cameo 5. The pens/markers they sent with the holders are not great at all but that was ok with me because I didn’t buy it for that reason. Instead I purchased the vibrant 36 pack of Parkoo markers and the 130 pack of the Shuttle Art Gel pens off Amazon and they have been just stellar with this tool. I have even drawn Bluey for my daughter and then colored it in and it turned out amazing. This company’s tools have really made my crafting so fun and enjoyable. If they ever come out with more tools for the Cameo 5 I will not hesitate to buy them. There is barely even a learning curve with this set. All you have to do is insert the pen or marker into the holder, tighten it, install it into carriage 1 and then check to see if the pen or marker touches the paper when pushing down on the carriage with your finger; then release the carriage to make sure the pen/marker tip is NOT touching the paper that way when the carriage moves about the paper you do not get drag marks. If you’re on the fence about this purchase, just go ahead and buy it already, seriously you will not be disappointed. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Included some pictures of the pens and markers I’ve purchased separately in case anybody is interested. I also uploaded a video so you guys can see for yourself how amazing this tool works. Beware of the ink pens that come with this item. I have a very expensive silhouette 4 pro and the ink leaked out of the pen into the blade adjust area of my machine before I was able to push send. It has been a mess cleaning the ink out of this area. The blade adjusts in this area and I don't want ink all over my blade. I would not recommend using these pens. ... show more

LOVE this for my cameo. Didn’t want to buy their expensive and less functional product. This works just as well if not better (I would imagine), especially for the price

    • Reliable and durable
This works great! I also have the Silhouette brand pen adapter, and while that one works well, I’ve had problems with some pens and markers moving during use and needing to be placed again. The zoom pen/marker tool effectively locks the pen or marker into place, and I can’t imagine a situation where it would lose grip. Another benefit is they are metal rather than plastic, so this product is much more durable. ... show more

Good value, the pens are all great, didn't realize that the pen holders were two different sizes when I ordered them, have yet to run into a pen/marker that can't fit (thicker sharpies work in here too). Good value, works well enough. Would be nice if the fitment were better in the cartridge holder, but for a 3rd party product it's not bad at all. ... show more
