3M's polishing papers have super flexible non-woven backings for easy polishing of flat and contoured surfaces of acrylic, polyurethane, solid surface composites, fiberglass, aluminum, precious metals,finished wood and other soft materials.Can be used with or without water.For best results work in sequence from the most coarse to the finestgrade. Papers can be cut into strips for use on Zona's Sanding Sticks, or taped using 37-959 Super Bond Film Tape and made into rolls for use on the Finger Sanders.Comes in six micron

I was skeptical at first as I've had wonky past experiences with polishing resin pieces, but this stuff is no joke. Work your way up through each piece, take your time, and for resin, at least, you'll eventually end with something as shiny as a gemstone. I'm not sure if it's due to the curing process of my resin or my getting hand cramps, but I've found that taking a break and letting a piece sit for a while after finishing polishing, then going back over it with the last mint-coloured sheet tends to really make a piece shine more than it would otherwise. I have found that UV resin is a bit softer than my regular resin, so it doesn't *seem* to have the same effect for it, unfortunately. And I definitely need to note that these sheets, especially the smaller grits, either fall apart of fill up fast, so you'll need to replace them frequently. ... show more

I saw a video on YouTube of someone who posted a video and link to these papers to get rid of the haze the Ring cameras get on their lenses due to using cheap acrylic plastic.. grrr!! Thanks to these paper's I'll hopefully get a few more years of use out of the security system without having to spend a fortune to replace an inferior product.... ... show more

These do exactly what they were meant to do, and they do it exceptionally well. If you wanna make your resin art stand out (especially if you make dice), you'll need zona papers. If there was one thing I'd change if I could, it would be to make the green and grey papers a little sturdier. You'll find that you go through those two colors way faster than any of the others. ... show more

These are amazing for polishing but the last 3 times I've purchased them they've had some quality control issues. Be careful because this last time the blue/aqua sheets came out of order and the green also had a big thick spot where its crinkled and you have to skip that part or risk scratching the thing you're trying to polish. The second to last time I ordered the white had something embedded inside that scratched everything I had worked so hard to polish. These used to be amazing but the last three times I've ordered they've had some kind of issue. There used to be an advantage to paying more for these because of the great quality but now I think I'm just going to start buying the cheaper ones on amazon if they're just going to be the same quality. ... show more

I've used steel wool, a dremel with a buffing wheel and polishing kits from other guitar brands, but this kit is not only cheaper than all of those, you only need a small square for each different grit pass. Frets look better than ever and for the price, you'll get more than enough to last a long while. ... show more

Superficially, this is a product that should work, everything about it, the appearance, the sensation of evenness when you touch it, the backing material, says it should work, but despite my keeping the work area very clean and cleaning the target material (a bronze boat propellor) meticulously, each grade of abrasive left scratches - as if the abrasive was uneven. I spent too much time trying to eliminate anything that I might have done to contaminate the material between grade before I gave up. I can't guarantee that I wasn't causing the problem, but I can't recommend this product. ... show more
