3M's polishing papers have super flexible non-woven backings for easy polishing of flat and contoured surfaces of acrylic, polyurethane, solid surface composites, fiberglass, aluminum, precious metals,finished wood and other soft materials.Can be used with or without water.For best results work in sequence from the most coarse to the finestgrade. Okay, this is the second time I've ordered these cuz they're so darn good. I built a wooden guitar and these babies were great for knocking down and leveling thin layers of lacquer without scratching the surface up the way the sandpaper was doing. I got the surface to shine like a mirror with these. I am such a fan. I will say, they wear out quicker than sand paper, but that's not a complaint at all because the price is right and I don't want them to be so durable that they end up being stuff or causing scratches.
