I actually bought this big umbrella because I like to sit outside in the mornings before work - rain or shine. I also have a stray cat that likes to sit in my lap and sleep. My regular size umbrella wasn't big enough to protect the both of us from the rain! But this one? It's perfect! During daytime rain showers, I even prop it up over his chair bed and he just lays there in his blanket, safe from the rain. Yes, my neighbors think I'm crazy, but I don't care. The cat loves it. We have bought several golf umbrellas of this kind( lost a couple then repurchased ) . We are happy with them. Basically one can use them for golf or on any rainy days. They are large enough to shelter you much better than those regular-sized ones. The wind proof design also works.

Just a good umbrella. It shed the water off like it should. The large size was enough to keep us covered in our chairs and dry. I loved the easy to grip handle. Just be aware with large umbrellas like this, you will find they are very long.
