  • Awesome little amplifier!
Great little amplifiers! These will hook to nearly any speakers, so you can use what you have or pick up some cheap speakers at the local Goodwill for a cheap, decent sounding stereo. The compact design makes it fit nearly anywhere and it actually puts out a decent bit of audio with half decent speakers. Pairing is easy, just like any Bluetooth device. It has a lot of power for such a small amplifier. The fain is quiet as well. Overall the construction is very "DIY" in quality, but at this price you can't beat it. ... show more

  • Powerful all-in-one amp, some issues
I'm an electrical engineer in a big audio enthusiast. This is the second amp of this type that I am reviewing, an externally powered 2.1 channel high power class d all in one module. The volume and power is nice and loud and powerful and clean, but there are some problems with the pre-amplifier tone control stages. Let's start with the subwoofer, the volume control knob works great and really pounds the subwoofer, but the range of the frequency control knob is much too high as it feels and sounds as though the lowest you can set the crossover is probably 150 Hertz by ear and it sounds as though the other end sets it really high close to like 400 Hertz. This is not a good range for a subwoofer and I would have preferred it to be lower somewhere between 50 and 150 Hertz. Now the travel control works great and if I were to guess the center frequency for this tone control is probably around 3 kilohertz maybe upwards of five kilohertz. So it is in a good range if you want to be able to adjust the treble. The bass knob however is also much too high. They should have called it mid bass instead of Bass because it affects the left and right speakers mid-range, the lower mid-range probably somewhere around 200 to 400 Hertz, which is too high because if you don't have a subwoofer it would have been nice to have been able to push the 80 Hertz centered and 60 to 120 HZ range higher the compensate for no subwoofer. Honestly this is the second one that I've reviewed and I would recommend just going with the other one instead which is the zk-as21, as that one is very well built and has all the frequencies in the right position and even is more powerful with a better class d amplifier chip. One last thing I almost forgot is that there was almost zero heat sink paste on the chip itself and the heat sink does not sit flat since it is only held down by 2 plastic push pins, so I did have to add a thermal pad between the two chips and the heat sink. The one thing that this zk-t21 has over the other one is the little pause, previous track, next track dial to the right of the main volume. That is nice to have although the other one I mentioned does pause the music when you push the main volume button in. The other one is also digitally controlled for the volume instead of analog. This actually might be a benefit to this one because you can set the absolute value every time you boot up instead of a rotary encoder to have to turn it down from Max. The Bluetooth doesn't have HD or AAC. ... show more

  • Great Product
Equipped with TDA7498E chip, the sound quality is excellent . I try to connect this bluetooth amplifier board with subwoofer and play music. It goes to ridiculous volume without audible distortion. After an hour, the amplifier board runs cool without overheating, for the fan running. The fan is very quiet. You won't hear it .Anyway, this is a cheap, clean and powerful amplifier board.I like it. ... show more
