Both the Single and Double Butane Inserts offer odorless flames at the push of a button. For optimum performance, fill with Zippo butane fuel. Comes packaged in a gift box. Two Plasma Beams cross to ignite the Rechargeable Arc Insert. The double beam offers a windproof heat source that can easily be recharged and reused. Each insert is stamped with the best in class guarantee and are packaged in a gift box. Note: The Single and Double Butane Torch Inserts are packaged and shipped unfilled. The media could not be loaded. The soft flame works great on my wood pipes, and my glass bowl smokes adequately. If you're smoking weed, glass bowls may not always work great with this product. It depends on the bowl. Not the best in windy situations, but it's better than a Bic lighter. The standard Zippo insert is the best for Wendy situations, but it doesn't light pipes or bowls well. This pipe insert trades win sustainability for better draws. If you wait a second before using the flame, you won't get the smell of the lighter fluid. The top piece is removable! It will make the lighter work like a standard insert, but it will still be less wind resistant because of the giant holes on the side. ... show more

The current size is slightly larger than the ones I've purchased in the past. Very inconvenient since the entire concept behind these is to not have to switch sleeves when swapping cards in and out of my decks.

I love Zippos and have used them for many decades. High quality, American made legacy products that work well and are reasonably priced. These inserts are not quite as convenient as some modern pipe lighters, but I wouldn't use anything other than a Zippo.

If you smoke a pipe, and already have a Zippo, get this pipe insert. Fits perfectly in my Zippo shell. Solves the problem of burning the rim of your pipe. Lights better with the flame directed clean into the pipe. I guess it would work great for bongs too. Buy it.
