This book bag is ingenious. I am SO glad I bought it for my most recent work trip. I was able to expand it as my carry on and pack extra clothes for me and my daughter. Then I could slim it down for when I needed to bring it to conference/meetings I needed to attend. It looked professional and slim. It is very comfortable, has a lot of space and pockets. I bought the navy one...I will say the video is not entirely accurate (hence 1 less star). The bag doesn't open all the way up for the clothes section and it does not have that zippered net. I wish it did have both those features...so I was disappointed about that. Otherwise, I'm still really happy with this purchase!

I literally tried DOZENS of black backpacks before happily discovering this one. I need to tote my laptop back and forth to work, for work at home days. My commute involves a bike ride, a train ride, and a shuttle bus ride. Sometimes, it's just train and bus and shuttle. I am not a backpack person, but I realized that was the most practical bag for all these modes of transport, and carrying all my stuff easily and securely. So..... I wanted a backpack so I can lug all my stuff easily, quickly and securely on the CTA, but also look sleek and Euro, and not like I was pregnant on my back. When I'm biking, I need it to fit a laptop, sometimes a jacket and a change of clothing, and my lunch, maybe an add'l pair of shoes and my giant headphones. This backpack accommodates that nicely, with a secret compression sleeve area for clothes, and an expandable gusset! Other days, when I'm not biking or taking my laptop home, it zips down to thin and sleek. The style of this is very nice, and NO VISIBLE LOGOS. Lots of pockets - it'll be useful as a carry on for trips as well. Nice water bottle gusset pocket, and the USB port is also very useful! I looked at a LOT of backpacks, and this one finally fit the bill. The great price doesn't hurt either!! I also like that it's made of recycled plastic. Very happy with this pack. Updated! Used this as a carry on for my last int'l trip - worked GREAT. The compression area held an extra outfit/underwear. The whole thing zips open flat like a suitcase for quick setup in the security line. Add'l room via the expandable gusset - did my stuff expand? Also love the "secret" hidden pocket in the back. Win!!
