I bought 4 beds from amazon at the same time all from different manufacturers and all about $200. This bed was far and away the best of the lot. The easiest to put together with very clear instructions and well labelled for easy identification of pieces and parts. This manufacturer is highly thoughtful and included a ratchet wrench which made a huge difference in assembly. If I could give this bed more than 5 stars I would. I wish I had known because I would have bought more of their beds than other manufacturers. We just put it together but it seems wicked sturdy. We received the bed in a relatively small box. Everything was tightly packed in the headboard. Unfortunately, there were several parts missing, which was very disappointing. My daughter did not have a bed to sleep on. We contacted customer service immediately, they indicated they will send my request to "Tier 2 team to review". They told me it would be 24 to 48 business hours (3 to 6 days?) before I would hear a status update. I guess I won't even know if they will send replacement parts for a week. So I guess I'll wait for that update to decide whether to just return it all together or wait on replacement parts, which they said they would not expedite to me, just standard ground shipping. Rather unfortunate, bad experience. If Zinus makes it right, I'll update the review, but my daughter is quite disappointed that she'll be sleeping on the floor for a week until our next "status update". ... show more

This frame is only 35" tall from the floor - so when you put a 14" bed on the frame you see only about 8-10" above the mattress and is swallowed up by the wall. Even if you have a lower mattress, it will only come up a very short way on your wall. This is my fault - I only looked at the picture because it was really a nice frame in the picture - but didn't scrutinize the measurements - don't make my mistake!! Unfortunately, I now need to buy another frame because the frame is dwarfed in the room. This is so sad because the frame is really nice otherwise - cannot imagine why it was built to be so short ... show more

The only thing good about this bed is how it looks and how convenient the different pieces fit in the headboard in the Zip up compartment. However it is a downfall because it makes the headboard very flimsy and cheap feeling. I’m barely two months in and the bed squeaks and has Only been moved, not even moved, but “re-directioned” once, and now every time my wife and I get in the bed, we don’t know if we’re going to wake up in place or on the floor with splinters. It LOOKS great, but the sturdiness of this bed is by far inferior. We had another Zinus upholstered bed that was a queen size and it had a metal frame with metal guards on the side where the wood slats sat. Where on this one it sits on wood. That’s right, wood slats, on wood, and had I known that it would be an issue two months in, I would’ve never purchased it. This bed frame will probably work fine for you if you don’t have a mattress bigger than 8 inches, ours is 12, and also if you set it up once and never plan to position it different or move it at all. Once you move it once from its original placement, it disturbs the integrity of the piece. Spend your money on something more sturdy. ... show more

I think it's the best upholstered bed frame I could have gotten for the price and availability (thinking IKEA). Took less than an hour to assemble with two people and didn't require us to have a toolbox of our own. I've moved the bed around to align it differently in my new apartment and the legs hold up for any activity. The slats are in place with velcro and not screws - I think it will be easy to disassemble it and move (which is super important to me). The only thing I'm really bummed about is that the stated beige color is definitely not a beige. It's a light grey. Nobody who has seen the bed thinks it's beige. It just kind of ruined the aesthetic I was going for and it's harder to return an assembled bed frame now. ... show more

Likes: The color is a neutral beige and looks really nice. It’s easy to assemble, I put it together by myself. The USB ports on each side of the head board are nice added one. Dislikes: I wish I had paid more attention to the height of the headboard. It’s much shorter than I thought it would be. Im a little concerned about the sturdiness of the wood slates. They have a lot of flex to them so it will be interesting to see how they hold up if there is any “movement” on the bed... ... show more

The best purchase ever!!! Got this in stright lined design on light beige. The only disappointing factor for me is the color. This looks light grey instead of light beige in person. But I cannot believe for the price I got this item for a king size. Just for 250 bucks and brand new. Thank you so much Amazon!! I'm still using it. It's been 3months. And it is still sturdy and looks like a good minimalist piece. You cannot beat the price in any websites. I seriously purchased from wayfair and returned twice because they were cheaply made. I bought this bed specifically for the USB ports, yet only one works. You also have to be super careful because you can very easily make the screws too tight to where it warps the metal. Decent instructions, just incorrect instructions. The pieces are not labelled correctly. They're labeled with L and R instead of whatever letter was given on instructions and you have to use one r and one l on each side, which isn't logical, but it will not work unless you do it this way. overall fairly sturdy and looks nice. I just wish the USB actually worked. ... show more
