This is the second I have bought. One for my teen girl and this one for my almost 10 boy. The are super soft but stiff as more pressure pushes creating the support that is needed. I think these are great for a single person on bed but I don't feel like it would withstand 2 adults for the long run. But you also aren't paying the price you would for mattresses for adults in my book. Still I belive they will last awhile for the kids and both I unrolled and let decompress in a couple of hours. I give them a day just to make sure though. Neither had any smell and both puffed up nice. I had no stitching flaws in either of them as well. All in all I like this mattress and will purchase again when I set up spare bedroom in the house. Bought this mattress for my special needs teen to help her sleep better and I am so glad I did. She just loves this mattress and has been sleeping so much better. Better quality sleep. I laid on it all of 30 seconds and just endulged in the pain free heaven before she kicked me off lol I have terrible lower back and hip pain from my bed and wish I could get one for my bed but the cal king size is too expensive for me right now. You simply cannot go wrong withis bed. For the money it's amazing. It's firm yet supportive and giving. It did take about 36hrs to fully expand so be patient. I recommend the bed frame by the same company too. As with all new beds it took me a couple of weeks to get used to it but now I love it. I got two of these and was concerned that they were never going to rise to the full 8 inches. They did indeed do so. I did follow the directions that come with the mattress which instructs that you should, jump on, run on and walk on the mattress after opening to help it to expand to the 8 inches. I bought two of these 6in twin mattresses for a day bed and they fit perfectly. Not only were they the perfect fit, they also were SHOCKINGLY comfortable for only being a 6-inch mattress. I have had numerous guests sleep on them and my husband and I have slept on them ourselves too - all of us are surprised by the comfort level. Pretty firm but have a nice squish to them!
