First of all, it *looks* very nice, clean, and had no chemical-y smell (after ordering a bunch of stuff on Amazon for my new apartment, that last thing was a very welcome surprise). It came rolled-up in a vacuum-sealed plastic pouch in a tall skinny box. (The box was very heavy to move, if that's something you're concerned about). Once I cut open the plastic, the mattress inflated and boom! It was ready to use! The mattress is *quite* plush. (Maybe even too plush if that's something you don't like. The memory foam is very obviously there.) Still, it's been quite comfortable during these first few days at my apartment and it totally beats sleeping on the floor. That mattress is awesome for the price. I have purchased 4 for various homes. Expands quickly to full width. I haven't encountered any chemical smells in any so far. Very comfortable on a standard platform bed. If you need extra firm I would suggest using thin plywood underneath the mattress over the bed slats. It came within 1 week! My 4 year old was still sleeping on his crib mattress and I needed an upgrade that wouldn't break the bank. After searching around local thrift stores and being quoted over 100 dollars for USED mattresses, I knew I could find a NEW bed for less. But I didn't expect the great quality. This picture is just 30 minutes after unwrapping and it's nice and full to 6 inches already. It's firm and thick enough that you don't touch the base of your bed but soft enough to form to your body for us side sleepers. it's very functional for my kid and I'm only 5'4", 120lbs so I can't speak on comfort level for anyone larger, but the foam does seem dense enough to support most adults. We bought this mattress in queen size, 12 inch height based off recommendations from some friends. In terms of comfort, it's pretty good. Firm but not too firm. The only problem is the edges on either side don't have much firmness at all. They compress way too easily, which makes sleeping near the edge of the bed feel a bit perilous. I was hoping it would firm up after a couple of days of letting it expand, but so far it hasn't. As a result, it feels like we lose about 6 inches of space on either side, resulting in this being more of a Full then a Queen.     • Finally, a Mattress That Doesn’t Turn My Hips into Squeaky Door Hinges!

As a seasoned professional who has seen more mattresses in my lifetime than I care to admit (including the one in the guest room that I’m convinced is just a glorified brick), I have to say, the ZINUS 10 Inch Green Tea Essential Memory Foam Mattress is a game-changer. Picture this: I'm on vacation at the beach, ready to do absolutely nothing but enjoy some R&R. I rented a cute little beach house with a mattress just like this one. Normally, when I wake up, my hips sound like a rusty old hinge. But after a night on this mattress? Not a peep! It was like my hips had turned back the clock. And as a side sleeper, that’s saying something! Pros: Perfect Height for Petite People: Standing at a grand 5'2" (on a good day), getting on and off a mattress has always been a bit of an acrobatic performance for me. But this mattress? It’s just the right height. I can actually sit on the edge, put on my socks, and not feel like I’m about to plunge off the side of a cliff. Quiet as a Mouse: Whether I’m tossing and turning or my husband and I are…ahem…enjoying some “adult time,” this mattress stays quiet. There’s no creaking, no groaning (at least not from the bed), just blissful silence. It's a dream for anyone who doesn’t want to wake their partner with every roll or wiggle. Body Contouring Without the Dreaded Dip: The memory foam contours beautifully to my body, giving me that “snuggled by a cloud” feeling. But unlike other mattresses, it doesn’t give up on me halfway through the night by creating a sinkhole in the middle. It supports me all the way through.
