I bought this to support dual monitors and a Surface. It is just right for the space that is available. I like how it can be angled by pivoting the end sections on the pins. Since I am using the center platform for the Surface, I now have 3 sections where I can keep things handy. The middle section sits over the wire access and the brick. The two end sections are great for storing what I am working on, a cell phone, stapler, etc. I would buy another if I have a need for another one.

The product is great, very easy to assemble, but I definitely should have paid attention to the overall length as I have to very large monitors that are a tight fit. Besides my mistake, the product is perfect and got quite a few compliments around my office.

The movable pieces give a lot of options for setting up work area which is nice. Working from home so I have limited space. Drawback to this unit is a standard size corded keyboard will not fit in center opening. My intent was to buy a unit that had ‘built-in’ storage space for the keyboard so that I could keep smallest footprint when not working. While I kept the shelf I also had to buy another model shelf that would provide a wide area for keyboard storage. So now I have two stand- a regular one and this expandable one (that I used only partially extended thus defeating purpose of an expandable monitor stand!!). One unit could have sufficed if the center was made wide enough.
