The roller part, that holds the wheels and the chair up is made out of metal, and is super sturdy. The chair reclines, has a mini pull out so you can really recline. Edit: After some back and forth conversation about the situation I got a new chair sent to me. I love it like the other. I had to use my full bodyweight to screw the chair together this time. But I eventually got it together. I got the pink and white one for myself since the original chair was just fine, it was only the one arm that was detective. I was happy to get the chair and I did figure out a way to put the chair together but here’s the problem. As shown in the pictures, it shows the mechanism inside the armrest that attaches to the back of the chair for the recline. It’s flipped backwards so there isn’t a recess for the screw to sit in. I wanted a chair where put together I can safely sit and recline in it. I have emailed them from the one listed on their business card and have gotten no response to aid in this situation. This chair is no longer holding the height set while sitting on the chair after just 2.5 months. I find the chair to no be comfortable at all. I wish I could return it.
