Purchased this breaker due to price. Newer model type than what I normally use. Guess I'm used to the older more solid screw down type breaker . Won't fit my purposes, but they do provide small breaker boxes (FYI)

I tested this breaker a few times. I connected 2 space heaters to the circuit and when both space heaters were on the highest temperature setting there were 20 amps going through the circuit and the breaker tripped after my stop-watch was on the 2 second mark. I also changed one space heater to it's lowest setting and left the other one on high and there were 17 amps on the circuit and the breaker took a little over 5 seconds to trip. ... show more

I was not using this 63 amp version for an Over Current Protection device, just a local safety disconnect. And never opened the breaker under load, however it was heating up and tripping at 2 amps 120 VAC. It would reset but never take a load after the false trip occurred. Really I jumped it out with a number 10 wire and order another brand of small, cheap breakers. The silver lining is it tripped in failing and not a Flame out smoking Hole. ... show more
