My 2 cats are about 10 years old, but this toy makes both of them play like kittens again! We do have to put the toy up when done, because they will chew the wire and make it hard to swing. Like many reviewers say, certain worm colors tear apart more easily, right now there is a bunch of black fuzz on the floors. But it's absolutely worth it, because even my cat who has arthritis in her shoulder doesn't want to stop playing.

My cat absolutely goes nuts for these! The worms are holding up decently, little wear and tear but with the amount you get you won't need to repurchase any for a while!!

My cat is a complete diva. She is very very hard to buy toys for treats for food for her favorite toy was the laser light toy it was the only thing she consistently played with I was always trying to find a new toy for her to give her some variety. And one day I searched for toys and I saw this and she had a little like stick toy with something at the end of it that she like really well so I thought well why not we'll try it. So these are arrived and the two fishing poles will beautiful they extend and retract which is nice they are extremely durable she has access to go to my neighbor's room because we have a doorway that connects that are rooms and he enjoys playing with her so I send one of the poles over to him with some attachments and I kept one and she will pull it and pull the Ben the lawn so it was under the bed and it it has never broken and the little wormy guys and I know there's supposed to be caterpillars but I never fished with a caterpillar they were always warm so I refer to him as warmed she loves those things and she prefers the fluorescent colored ones but this toy beats the laser light toy to hell. She goes crazy for this thing she will jump in the air I have never seen this cat get that excited about a toy in her entire life. In the seven years I've had her since babyhood she has been so hard to shop for she either outright doesn't like something or she'll play with it for like 10 seconds and then walk away this thing she has been playing with four months it has withstood I don't know how many times that she's bent it she's got pulled it out of my hands and got part of it caught in the doorway and just keeps pulling and it comes with an extra piece of cable it's easy to attach New pieces to the end. This is a wonderful toy. If you have a very picky cat I would say give this a shot. Because my diva loved it and still loves it and I know that if it breaks I know exactly where I'm coming back to you and I'm going to pray they still make them

We have a great time playing with these. The line is fishing line, so there is no give, but still fun to play with. If it breaks, we will replace it with elastic. Good price for 2 rods and replacement ends!

i don’t know what it is about this toy but it has unlocked something incredibly feral in my 1 year old cat baby. he has developed a pavlovian response to the jingling of bells because he thinks the source of it is this toy. he has NEVER responded so excitedly to any toy i have brought home since adopting him from the shelter this last February. he will chase, leap, and chomp down on this bad boy until i put it away, and let me tell you i have to HIDE this thing or else he will scale any obstacle to retrieve it. he is panting like a dog by the end of our daily playtime, and he will also growl as he tries to murder kick it as well as when i try to pry his well earned prey from his vicious maw. that being said, the bit on the end of the wire that holds the hook to the wire is not great; i had to super glue it because he would yank it clean off the end of the cord. the worms on a string are also a little flimsy and have promptly become worms off the string in the wake of his terror, and we have had an instance of one having its nose ripped off. the fishing pole itself has held up pretty nicely though, and it looks like i could probably attach my own wire and all if it came to that. all in all though, this was a total win for my baby and i will be reordering once Yoshi has slaughtered the remaining worms in his blind bloodlust.

After sitting on and breaking not one, but two of my cat's similar style toys, I bought this as penance. Turns out, not only is the color way cuter than the old ones I had, but the toy itself is appealing to both my hunt-happy cat and my roommate's picky, scaredy cat. The huntress LOVES the worm attachments and the finicky weenie, while he tolerates the worms, enjoys the little pink fish attachment more than I've seen him enjoy a toy in a long time. I will definitely be re-purchasing this when I inevitably sit or step on these and break them! (Although, having said that, it should be noted that the durability of the product so far is excellent. My prediction that they'll end up broken is based purely on my own experience of having a dummy thicc ass and no spatial awareness and has nothing to do with the product's performance.)

I've made and bought many cat toys over the years but this toy beats them all. It isn't the fishing rod and the line that makes it special. It's the furry little toy on the end that slinks all around looking rather like a snake or some little furry creature. The package comes with extra furry creatures which is good because they do wear out if you let the kitty get a hold of them and chew on them.

I’ve bought two orders of these things because my cats love them. 2 fishing rods come with the order, but one of them always breaks within seconds of use. I don’t know why one is always defective, but the other one lasts a lot longer for months. I would buy these again, but I think I’m going to try to find some that are more durable for the future. The one that does last lasts for months before they finally break, so that’s why I’m giving this one a 3 star review, because there’s potential, but I feel like each rod should be tested more for durability before being sent out so things like this don’t happen to customers. If I had two rods that worked like the one, I’d be giving this a 4 or 5 star review. As for the toys you can attach on the end, obviously the worms will deteriorate with time, but they’re wonderful. My cats love them and it’s their favorite toy! They last a long while before they start losing hair.
