1. this does not filter the bye-products of pesticides that plague rural water. use in cities. 2. not for coffee? recommended by coffee book but must be amended with minerals. by itself makes horrid tea or coffee.

I had been hauling in gallon jugs of water for years and finally just got sick of that, not to mention the waste, which was awful. I read extensively on what water filter to get and landed on this one. GREAT decision! The water tastes wonderful when the filter is good but you can definitely tell when it needs to be changed, though the meter helps also. The filters are a bit pricey but well worth it all the same. They actually give you a stick so that you can check your own water to see if itโ€™s clean or not. No one does that! Now this is clean water we love it highly recommend, and the replacement filters are extremely affordable.

This is my 5th purchase of these pitchers. It works great in my home this is my second one. My water tests at .31 and my filter cartridge last quite a while. I purchased for my daughters and my parents home as well. One of my daughters her water tested at .28 and loved hers as well. The other daughter her home tested at 246 I believe and she went through many costly filter the same with my parents home which tested around .238. So it didnโ€™t take long for their water tasted funny even though it tested ok. ... show more
