I picked this up for a little retro gaming over the holiday break. I haven't messed with emulators or ROMs in years but this stick combines several into something you can simply hook up to your TV via HDMI. It takes no time at all to get started and start playing some games, which is a plus. The interface is very basic. You can toggle between a list of all games, recently played, favorites, categories (emulators), and a spot for downloads. I was most interested in arcade games covered by MAME and not the older systems like NES/Famicom, Sega Master System, Atari, etc. While the stick comes preloaded with thousands of titles, many are duplicates or ones you've never heard of from Asia. I found several and had varying degrees of success. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the fighting games such as Street Fighter 2, Final Fight, and X-men: Children of the Atom. The gameplay was clean, sound was good, and graphics sharp. A few older titles like Altered Beast, Cadash, and Bad Dudes had terrible sound and the latter suffered from lag/slowdown. One huge caveat to this interface is the inability to make any in game changes. You can save a state, load a state, resume, or exit and that's it. You cannot adjust dip switch settings, remap buttons where you want them, or adjust the aspect ratio or refresh rates like you can using other emulators. This makes playing games like Guerrilla War or Mercs extremely disappointing as the 1:1 screen is badly stretched out to fit your 16:9 TV. I found that most 2D titles that only require 2 buttons, such as Ghouls N Ghosts or Strider should run fine. What surprised me a little bit was the amount of titles this stick was not able to play. I'm not talking about resource hungry titles like Race Drivin' or House of the Dead, but simple games like Marble Madness. So there will be hardware limitations depending on what you're trying to play. Multiplayer games like TMNT or the Simpsons are playable but struggle at times. If you want to add your own ROMS you'll have to remove the bluetooth dongle and plug it into your PC via USB and add the ZIP files to the only partition you have access to. I added about 40 or so titles and hooked it back up to my TV. I was then able to play favorites like Ghosts N Goblins and Double Dragon. Many others simply wouldn't load, presumably due to hardware limitations of the stick. It should be noted that the hardware is very cheap and the price reflects this. The controllers are basic and I'm worried they'll break if dropped on a hard surface. For the price though, it's not a bad little solution for some gaming on the fly. I will likely build my own system with a mini PC and bring this along while going on vacation.

Excellent retro console for the price. This Game Stick exceeded my expectations. Setup was a breeze: I simply plugged the device into the HDMI port, powered it with the included USB cable, and in seconds I was in the menu, ready to play. No complicated configuration is required, making it ideal for the whole family. The two wireless controllers work perfectly. They are lightweight, comfortable, and have good range. The button response is just right for classic games, and I experienced no lag. Perfect for playing with a partner or with kids. The console includes a wide variety of retro games, making it incredibly fun and nostalgic. The device's build quality is basic, but for the price, it's more than adequate. Started off cool. Went trash real fast when the HDMI port fell apart and came out of the soder. Cheap crap. Lasted a whole week. Save your money and buy a real gaming system. Not impressed with this . Taking my 40 dollar loss with a beer
