I have only had this controller for a few days but so far the quality seems so much better than the name brand joy cons that come with the console. With this controller I can lay down to play and also hold the console one handed and not worry about messing up the tracks. This controller is sturdy. I have seen reviews of some one-piece controllers that said the console falls out easily but this one has a locking mechanism that locks the console safely into place. The button response time feels and looks normal I don’t notice any difference. It does disconnect and turn off if the console goes into sleep mode but I guess that is expected it only takes 5ish seconds to reconnect once you wake the console up. I like that the lights on the controller can be switched and turn off by a little button on the back. I like that it can hold 4 extra games in the back for when we go on long car rides. We have previously gone through multiple sets of name brand Joycons which all fell to the demise of stick drift. This controller has a different type of joy stick that is suppose to make stick drift less likely and you can feel a difference between this controllers joy sticks and the ones that came with the console. This controllers joysticks feel more like a regular gaming controller. The only downsides I have found so far in the short time is that with this controller are 1- console cannot be put into dock and connected you have to remove the console from the controller first. And 2- with the controller on my console does not fit into my travel case. I did see somewhere on Amazon that they have cases that will fit it though. All in all so far I feel this controller was a great purchase.

This is the Best ever solution for those standard Nintendo switch controllers. The controllers on my switch kept shorting out. I believe the weight of the switch & the wobble that occurs over time was causing the shortage & I spent most my time trying to squeeze the controllers to reconnect them during my game play. This alternative is one full piece with a hard plastic back that keeps the controllers steady & takes the brunt of the console weight. The switch just slides right inside and holds the switch steady & prevents any added stress on the controllers making that eventual wobble & shortage a thing of the past. NOTE-I did need to buy a new case to fit the switch with this controller set up, but it is well worth it; I have consistent game play and can always remove my switch from this console if I I chose to play on a big screen or want to use the controllers detached. No more concerns if I am rapidly pressing the A button; am I getting carried away in game play and putting added stress on the detachable controllers that come with the switch? It’s glorious!! If you have bought the switch for a child or an enthusiastic gamer, this is a great addition for their game. This is definitely more stable for the switch and the added plastic covering the back certainly adds shock protection for the game console- no more worries about the wear & tear of picking up & setting down (definitely a plus considering how much cost is invested in buying the switch). Of course the light up graphics are cool and the comfort of the play feels more ergonomic & less stressful on my hands. (Though I will say, it took my hands a few days to get adjusted to the comfort of the controller; I was concerned at first, but hang in there, your hands will adjust & overall I think my game play has gotten better because this console is better ergonomically.) Other things to know? Holds multiple games, separate plug to charge controller (but can still play while plugged in), there is a “lock” to keep game securely in console & console turns on by holding the home button for 3 seconds (located directly under the right joystick). If you’re not yet convinced, roll the dice/ walk on the wild side & you will quickly become a satisfied gamer or a worshipped parent, grandparent, Aunt, Uncle or friend for being the best Nintendo switch gift giver EVER! I highly recommend; would definitely purchase again and seriously wonder why Nintendo didn’t develop this console holder in the first place 🤔. The only justification I can think is Nintendo realizes the controllers become wobbly & game players will have to replace them often; overall making them more money. 🤦♀️. Save your gamer from that costly bandwagon; you won’t regret it. My daughters right original switch controller started doing that fun little thing where it starts moving by itself and the only way to stop it is to turn it off, put it down and cry about the fact that you bought this thing brand new and it stopped functioning after 3 weeks. Anywho there’s many way to replace it, you can pay more than what this awesome controller costs to get a single right controller, you can buy a set for $80, you can buy and build one from the inside out or you can jump in after reading an overwhelming amount of reviews about all the different brands and styles here on Amazon and just buy one. So I did. My kids are rough with everything they own from their shoes to their to their pillows. Literally everything. We go through so many screen protectors now. Probably single handedly keeping some brands in business! As they are both diagnosed with ADHD and I’m on the spectrum we like things that are a bit more durable. This absolutely fits the bill! I love that it locks the console in place, there’s no fear of it falling out or getting loose. I love the size of the handles. At first I thought they’d be too big but after watching my daughter play they’re just honestly such a better fit than the much smaller original controllers. She can keep a grip on them, I don’t worry as much about them slipping out of her hands. I love the light features, you can change the colors, you can have rainbow, you can even adjust the brightness! And for I think it was $5 more you can get the other one with different designs. There’s like a lightning one, a spider web one, one that reminds me of rupunzels golden flower drawing, and a couple more. All of which you can also choose the strength of vibration too which is awesome. Some kids don’t like that sensation and we can turn it completely off. It comes with dual ended c chargers with a usb plug in, so you can plug in both the controller and the switch at the same time ( into the car or car phone charger which has been a life saver on road trips where I’d like to take less cords if at all possible). I would buy again (I just did actually, because there’s a second switch in this house and “it’s just not as cool as sisters is. Without the lights”) If something negative happens I will update this but as for now we thoroughly enjoy them. They feel extremely similar to an Xbox controller for those of us that were curious. You can’t keep on any case or skin, that I’ve tried but I’m sure there might be some paper thin ones out there somewhere. Idk but I think this is a great controller. It does all the things and all our personal boxes of what we needed in a controller. Not for someone who likes to take them off and use them independently. Excellent Handheld Upgrade for the Switch

I bought the Gammeefy Hall Effect Joypad for my Nintendo Switch and it has been a great upgrade from the standard Joy-Cons. The full-size grip makes handheld gaming much more comfortable, especially during longer play sessions. The Hall Effect joysticks feel smooth and responsive, and it’s nice knowing they’re designed to prevent stick drift, which is a common problem with many controllers. The buttons have a solid feel, and everything responds well in gameplay. I also really like the Game Boy Color style design—it has a cool nostalgic look that stands out from regular controllers. The 9 color lighting options are a fun extra and can be customized depending on your preference. Setup was simple and the controller connects without issues. Overall, it’s a great choice if you mainly play in handheld mode and want something more comfortable and reliable than the stock Joy-Cons. Good so far, just be aware of some caveats!

I have only had it a day, but so far it performs as-advertised. Will need to play with the turbo and programming functions later. A few things to be aware of: - This controller pairs itself as a Pro-style GAMEPAD, and NOT as a set of joycons. That is totally fine and as-advertised... but be aware that some games do not support game pads, and require Joycons attached instead (like Pokemon Lets Go). If you need the controller grips to present as a set of Joycons, look at something like the Hori Split Pad Pro. - The controller has its own battery and USB charging port, and does not draw power directly from the Switch. The manufacturer helpfully includes a USB "Y" charging cable, to let you charge the Switch and the controller at the same time. - No rumble, likely to save battery. I think that's fine at this price point. Those caveats aside, it works well so far!

Logged into Amazon to specifically leave a review on this product - one of the best things I've ever bought! My JoyCons had gotten to the point that my whole Switch was barely usable. Instead of spending $60+ on new JoyCons, I tried this controller and love it. Very comfortable in the hand, the bluetooth connection is very responsive and I'm looking forward to playing with all the programmable buttons. It also holds the Switch with just the right amount of snugness - easy to pull in and out (though I never really need to), without it ever accidentally falling out. Solved an expensive problem at a very reasonable price. Minor cons: - A little heavier (obviously) than the JoyCons, so I tend to rest it on my lap while I play rather than hold it up. - I tend to accidently bump the light button on the back of the controller pretty frequently, and then I need to press it 10 more times to turn off the controller's colored lights (I don't prefer them). I think if I set up the app, I might be able to turn them off permently.

I honestly love it. It’s very comfortable for my huge hands & the lights are awesome. All of the settings are cool but the first preset is my favorite. The charge holds super long and I love that you can charge both the grip controller & the switch separately. So make sure you understand that the switch does not charge the controller. But I haven’t even experienced it die yet. I play about 4 hours a day 4 days a week and I only charged it because I realized it had been a while, so that’s crazy. There are paddle buttons that I don’t need (yet) but I love the option since they’re comfortably placed. Device fits snug and there are lock switches to keep it in place—but could mess up your screen protector if it’s not lined up perfectly. Mine was a few cm off and it made my protector bubble up a tiny bit from the pressure, but it was easy to take off and press back down. I also catch myself playing with the grip controller alone while the Switch is docked & that’s also a very comfortable format to play in. Really good purchase and would buy again if needed. I have really dope joycons that I’ve been putting down in order to use this thing instead. The programmable buttons are a whole different world I haven't even gotten to use yet. There's a Turbo mode where you can also change the rate. There's a button you can literally program to do a whole button sequence. Like pressing the button can be B, Up, A, L, R, Down. It records the whole timing as you record it. You can also make it loop. Vibration has 3 settings, from none to strong. I'm reading the manual right now like wtfffffff yeoooooo 10 stars out of 5 tbh & I'm not even being paid to say this. I genuinely went back in my orders to let the community know

It fits amazing. The appearance is exactly as it is shows. It is very compatible, and I would say it’s definitely worth the money. It works better than the expensive joy cons! They are able to charge at the same time on different chargers and one charger comes with the switch controller. My other son has dropped his so many times (he has cerebral palsy) and it still works absolutely fantastic and it has had some pretty high drops. If we ever need another one (we now have 3) I’m definitely getting it though this company and or person. Thinking about getting one for myself.
