I am very pleased with this impact vest. I have not tested the boyancy, but am sure it is fine. Used it today for wing surfing. I believe it will go a good job protecting my from my foil in a spill. As with many vests, it does run small. I am 5'7", 208# and usually take an x large t-shirt/sweatshirt. I ordered an XXL and it fits, but does not have any extra. It is comfortable and a GREAT value. Very nice vest at this price point, I was surprised. I purchased all 3 sizes over time because they run quite small. I wear a large in all clothing, jackets etc., but the large was way too small, teen size. The XL almost fits, and the XXL just fits. I'm keeping all of them since they will fit my grandkids. I use this lifejacket to swim out to about 150 meters from shore and just wade about taking in the nature surroundings, soul therapy.
