This product WORKS..I’m really amazed at how well..I have a room in my house that’s my smoking room, I only smoke cigarettes in there..And even with an really good air filter that really works well, there’s a pungent smoke odor in the room a lot of times..Eventually the air filter does completely get rid of it, but that can take a while. I got this stuff yesterday and I sprayed a little bit of it (maybe 4 short burst sprays) in the room to test it out. Immediately the room was over taken by the strong initial scent of the spray, and any smoke odor was gone immediately. But that’s not all. After I sprayed this in the room, and continued smoking in the room a lot? Every time I came back into the room I could no longer smell any smoke! This stuff actually does COUNTER ACT the smoke in air, but it also does that LONG AFTER you first spray it. So you can spray it, and then smoke 10 more cigarettes (for example) - and it CONTINUES to counteract the NEW SMOKE..Which I think is absolutely amazing.. So now I just have to do 2 or 3 small burst sprays of this in the morning, and it looks like for the rest of the day it’s counteracting all the smoke smell I keep filling the room with..Incredible A very small amount of this also goes a VERY LONG way. For reference also I was using another smoke deodorizing spray before, and I would have to spray this almost every time I came into the room. So I was probably going through a $10 can of that every 2 weeks or less. With this stuff it looks like this one can is going to last a very, very long time. As to other reviewers saying the smell is over powering of too strong? Initially it is very strong yes..But then after a few minutes that strong smell fades away, and you’re just left with a very crisp clean fresh air kind of smell, with only a hint of the original strong smell. It seems like the secret to this stuff is don’t spray too much of it. It’s simply not necessary to use a lot, and that might be why people are getting very strong lingering smells.. You don’t spray this like you would lysol..Very small, short burst sprays do the trick, and they LAST..Seemingly so far all day long (and maybe into the night too).. Amazing product - can’t recommend more if you’re dealing with any kind of smoke odors!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

So I tried other products and I still use other items in conjunction with this (scented candles I make, HEPA filter, Febreeze) and I found this the best bang for the buck. I am not elated with the scent but it's not off-putting either. Be sure to clear your room(s) of any drink glasses, etc. as it's basically like spraying Lysol in the air. It smells better of course. A lemony sort of chemical scent. It's pretty strong and with the size of the 2 can purchase- I see getting a lot of use out of it. There are nicer scents out there and effective products but I just cannot afford to blow through those with my evening pipe smoke. Too cold in the winter outside and so to keep wifey happy I use this with my homemade scented candles, HEPA filter, etc. I loved Fresh Wave but it's not as strong and too pricey as I needed a lot to do the job plus it's simply priced much higher. This is my current go-to for clearing the air after I am done smoking my bowls for the evening when the wife's gone to bed.

Bottom line - it works! We recently rented a 4 bedroom home on the "Forgotten Coast" in Florida. Housing is hard to come by around here but we got extremely lucky to find this place. We only got a quick walk-through because the departing tenant was packing to leave. The first thing that hit us was the overbearing smell of cigarette smoke. Unbelievable! Fortunately, the entire house has a tile floor so I figured the cleanup process would be easier. While packing our own stuff back in Tucson, I did some "Googling" of "Commercial Odor Remover" and landed on this ZEP product. Having some experience with the brand, I felt confident enough that it would work, I bought 4 cans. Before we unloaded the 20 foot U-Haul truck, I went room by room and sprayed the walls, floor, and ceilings. According to the label, it's really meant to be sprayed in the air and not directly on surfaces but the bad smell was so strong I just went for it. I even sprayed directly into the A/C intake several times. Simply put, it took less than one can to completely eliminate the smell. Sure, it would come back with changing temperatures and humidity levels, but a quick spritz and the smell was gone. We have had to reapply a few times over six weeks but I am exceptionally happy with this product. Note: I smoked heavily for 35 years so I am very sensitive to the smell. Thanks to ZEP, the house is habitable for even my over-sensitive nose. I highly recommend this product!

Had a smoker stay with me for a week, and although no smoking was permitted in my home, I used these to spray clothing of the smoker when entering the home as well as the couch and throw pillows that seemed to have the lingering smell of a smoker. Spray left no residue. No damage to any fabric it was used on and removed odors from the air quickly. Left a clean linen like smell when used. highly recommend this product. could not find it for sale anywhere else but amazon. home depot does not carry the aerosol type. you won't be disappointed. As an extra note, i tried it after burnt microwave popcorn and that horrible smell burnt microwave popcorn creates vanished in seconds. I always have this in the house.
