ZEP products always treated me well! I ordered this for the first time instead of using Gunk like I usually do. Every time I’ve used gunk which was about 3000 times, over 30 years. I always got that chemical smell in the vents after cleaning the motors. THIS product doesn’t have that Awful smell. It cleaned the motor really well just as good! It’s a good value, and it works Spray it on a medium hot motor, make sure you have that cover that is usually over the spark plugs on the newer cars 2000 and above, if you don’t have that cover put a plastic bag over your plugs, soak, the whole motor with the spray, let it sit for 10 minutes, then use a power wash rinse AS SOON AS YOU’RE DONE, RINSING THE MOTOR, START THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. LET THE CAR RUN FOR 20 MINUTES WHILE YOU’RE DRYING OFF EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE MOTOR. WIPE DOWN THE SPOTS THAT YOU MISSED. ... show more

    • Cleaned oil off of car. No damage

We set out cooking oil to be recycled (they do that in my city) and crows knocked the container off the garbage can and splashed all over our new car. We don't drive every day so didn't notice the mess until a day later. By then the sun baked the oil onto the car paint. Neither soap, emolients, or car washes could remove the sun baked oil off the car. I tried this Zep stuff and it worked almost instantly! I tested a small area. Let it sit for 30 seconds and then wiped the grimey baked on oil right off. I then quickly washed over the area with water and soap just to be sure the chemical was removed and wouldn't damage the car paint or trims. There were no issues. The instructions say not to use on plastic but I'm sure the bumper is some sort of heavy plastic. The Zep cleaned it too and didn't discolor it. ... show more
