It's a good fit for my Surface Pro 11. The material is a little thinner and firmer than I would have liked but I think it will survive an impact. I am just not willing to test it on purpose. It is a pretty standard hard shell case. The cutouts are wide enough to allow using the usb inputs, charging, and allow the speakers to sound good. It is easier to hold onto than the surface material itself. It looks good enough and the kickstand kind of works if you are patient and steady. It did not obstruct my cover with the built in pen holder.

Pros: great for warehouse work, using it in tablet mode all day while not being afraid of it slipping out of my hand. Cons: 1. the comfort i would rate 9/10 just cause after maybe an hour or 2 of holding it, it might cause soreness but again that would be a me problem, and not so much a product issue. 2. the stand angle. this i have to say is a little disappointing in the sense that theres only 1 "level" of adjustment to set it at to allow it to be used as a laptop. kinda kills the whole versatility of the angles provided by the device. overall. solid choice for myself just cause of the work environment im in. i am on my feet all day walking around a warehouse checking inventory against excel. this works great in helping me hold onto the SP9. very durable. 1st day i used it at work i dropped it twice and banged it against metal shelves a couple of times. tiny scuffs on the actually rubber of the product, but SP9 was safe. so solid 10/10 for me so far.

Prior to buying this cover for my Surface, I bought a cover that left the back open for the stand that is built into the surface. It worked for almost a year, but then broke and the case started to slip off. I bought this case because it wraps the entire back and won't have the same problem. Not so sure how long the stand built into the case will last, but I have been satisfied so far.

This MS Surface 8 Pro cover/stand worked great until the hinge for the stand broke after 5 months use. The stand does not lay flat now when released for storage or using the hand-hold function. A little bulkier than I anticipated when I first got it, but protects the tablet well. Would have been five stars, if the hinge hadn't broken.
