This has turned out to be a great upgrade to our guest restroom. It looks great and installation was a breeze. It says no drill but I already had holes in the wall from our previous rod so I reused the holes and that made installation so easy. I wasn't sure about the tension on the rod itself but it's actually really good, the bar is very stout once it's tensioned in very well and the material and thickness of all the parts feels really good and solid. If I had a complaint it's the cover pieces, they just pop into place with a tab on the top and bottom so once they're on they don't really lock into place, so there's some flop. But if you aren't touching them or doing anything to them they're fine. Really impressed overall and will keep an eye on the materials to make sure they stay rust free.

Moved this up to 5 stars. Just ordered another one and Zenna Home has fixed al the installation problems. They must pay attention to these reviews. The trim no longer is stuck on and they have eliminated the need for the tiny screws. It is now a breeze to put up and they work great. Get the ball bearing shower rings to easy the telescoping bumps when you open and close the curtain. ********************************** This is a mixed bag. To have an option of a curved tension rod is fantastic. It's up, it works, and I have elbow room, so that is fantastic. The product is not all that well made and it was infuriating to get the trim off the mounting plates (not in the instructions). Two of trim holes were made off and couldn't be used for the tiny Allen wrench screws that are suppose to hold the trim on, so after dropping them at least a dozen times, I gave up and left them off. The trim seems to stay without them, but still shoddy workmanship. The assembly really pissed me off, but I had no trouble putting it up on the wall by myself and tightening it down. The rod looks decent from afar. It a satin nickel finish on light aluminum hardware and the end pieces are a large 4 inches to enable a large rubbery wall pad for grip. The double break for the tension piece, the inserted piece, and the longer outside piece makes for two places for the hooks to catch and looks a bit convoluted. I bought those satin nickel hooks with the rolling balls and they don't seem to have a problem gliding over them. Overall it looks better than plastic and who's all that fussy about a shower rod. In a day or two I'll forget what a pain those crappy little screws were and just enjoy the elbow room washing my hair in the shower. So instructions and installation, get 1 star. Quality control gets 2 stars. (update to 3 stars because I may have messed up the holes getting the trim off) Design and look, get 3 stars. Having a curved, tension, satin nickel finished shower rod for sale gets 5 stars. I'm averaging it to 3 overall. UPDATE: I had to come back and up this to 4 stars because I ordered a second one for another bathroom. Tip on taking trim off: Squeeze the round piece slightly on the sides without the screw holes and push through on the black plastic piece from the oval hole on the other side with your fingers or a non marring stick like the end of a brush. Pops right off. Perhaps I messed up those screw holes on the first one getting the trim off, because on my second one I was able to get the screws in much easier. Still frustrating, but they went in okay. Another thing good about a tension rod is you never have to hem shower curtains, you just raise or lower the shower rod where you need it. A few good twists and it's loose. Also no holes in my new tile shower walls.

I’ve had no issues with this rod falling, and the liner I have is a decent weight! I was proud of myself for installing it all by myself… very easy. Helpful that there was multiple way to mount. I love the color and just how it makes the entire shower experience more pleasant and open. I would highly recommend anyone consider a curved shower rod. It’s changed my life! :)

I may not be the most competent human being when it comes to complex home improvement projects, but putting up a shower curtain should not have sent me into a downward shame spiral. I purchased this product based on the description and some very positive reviews from people who either hold degrees in advanced engineering or who don't know what a shower curtain rod is and how easy it is supposed to be to set one up. I started my journey by un-boxing the rod and reading the quite simplistic instructions. Seemed easy enough. Then I realized that the instructions seemed to indicate that the end cap pieces should not have a cover on them, which mine did. I figured I would simply remove the cover and insert the rod as shown. I am not sure if the manufacturer is just an A-hole or if the end cap covers ended up on the end pieces solely by accident caused by jarring during the transit process, but it took an inordinate amount of profanity, brute strength, tears, and a little blood to remove them. With the end cap covers removed I inserted one half of the rod into the designated end piece and screwed it in. This took quite a bit of work and I began to wonder at this point if putting together this rod was a two person job. The second half of the rod screwed into the other end piece a bit easier and I felt like I was on the right path at this point. I joined the two rod halves together and formed one glorious curved shower curtain rod and began the process of mounting it into the shower. A regular shower mind you, tiled. I stretched out the rod and tried tightening the tension part, it never tightened. That is when I realized I forgot to screw in THE WORLDS TINIEST SCREW into the worlds tiniest screwhole with the worlds tiniest hex wrench. While trying to hold the rod up with one hand while simultaneously inserting a screw made by ants proved cumbersome and problematic. I don't do yoga, but I found myself in some rather awkward balancing poses while inserting the screw and tightening it. The screw never fully felt tight, like it was sort of just sitting in the hole, providing little to no tightness. I was finally ready to turn the tension rod and secure the shower curtain rod into place. And that is when the heavens opened and God looked down on me and said, "HA!" Between securing the screw and twisting the tension rod I managed to come up short a few inches (Insert "that's what she said" joke here)...I had extended the tension rod as far as it would go but I needed to extend the rod a bit to get it to sit securely between the walls on both sides of the shower. This meant loosening the screw I spent about forty minutes setting in place. I grabbed the tiny hex wrench and tried to loosen the screw...that is apparently made of cheese or some other soft material not found on the table of elements as it was completely stripped. Not the threading mind you, the actual hexagonal hole on top of the screw. Where once there was a hex shape there was now simply a hole. I spent the next thirty minutes letting loose a loud string of profanity that sent my dog running under the bed to hide. I now had a forty dollar piece of garbage...but to be fair, the company that makes these things has an entire warehouse full of them, so good for them for making a profit off of them. This is literally the WORST piece of garbage I have ever bought; this coming from the guy who purchased the extended director's cut of the 1980s Supergirl movie!! I wanted a simple way to get a curved shower curtain rod without having to drill holes. I ended up with my right eye twitching uncontrollably and a dog who has not come out from under the bed for six hours. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! If I can save one person from making the same mistake I made, this review will be well worth it. I hate you Zenna Home shower curtain rod, I hope whoever made you falls into a fire ant mound.

We needed a new shower curtain rod for our guest room, since the spring in the cheap old tension rod left behind by the previous owner finally buckled. I wasn't excited about a screw-mounted solution, since the wall is tiled all the way up to the ceiling. Yes, you can drill through tile with the proper bit, but the lifetime of a shower curtain rod is a lot shorter than the lifetime of the tile. I didn't want to start putting holes in things that I might regret later. Tension rods typically aren't as sturdy over the long haul, of course, but that was a sacrifice that seemed worth it to me. I figured I may as well spring for a curved rod while I was at it: we used curved rods at our last house, and the extra elbow room was noticeable. (Also, classy AF.) I was a little nervous about this one, since some of the reviews mentioned difficult installation or poor quality, but I there weren't many alternatives in this price range. The better quality options are nearly twice as expensive, and since this was for our guest bathroom and wouldn't be our daily driver, I figured it was worth the risk. I needn't have worried. Packaging was great, instructions were great, product was great. I've ordered and used some really cheap Made-in-China hardware and home goods over the past few years, and I've seen what crummy products and lousy instructions look like. This thing is luxurious by comparison. The instructions were complete and easy to follow, and the pieces were all clearly labeled as expected. I had the new rod up in about 15 minutes, thanks to a quick assist from my wife to get it into the right position before the final tension-tightening. It's only been up for a few days at this point, but it seems really solid. I don't think it's going anywhere. It looks great and does the job. My only real complaint is that you don't get a ton of extra room from it. This was expected: some reviews mentioned it, and the product description says it'll add about six inches of extra space, while other rods I looked at claimed anywhere from eight to 12. It's definitely more space than you get from a straight rod, but not as much as you'd get from a screw-mounted rod. I suspect it's just difficult to engineer a curved tension-mounted rod at this price point that extends outward any further. I wish it was bigger, but I couldn't find anything in the tension-mount category that was any better at this price point. Overall, I'm really happy with it. I can't vouch for its performance in a shower that sees heavy daily use, but for light duty in our spare bathroom it's absolutely perfect.

So far so good! No rust after 4 months, easy to install, using on a 5' opening. As for durability, We have massive towels and my kids will hange 3+ damp towels on it all the time and it has never slipped not has it failed. I Have a little gripe that there a plastic spacer between inside/outside rod, it gets pushed out, they should have used a stronger plastic! I still give 5 starts as its hardly noticeable and does not affect its function

Love this shower rod! I'm not fighting with the curtain anymore and I feel like I have more room in the shower. However the instructions were not very clear on how to install and I am so glad I have a handy husband that figured out how to install it 😊
