For whatever reason, my kids developed a phobia of the shower. They were always afraid if the shower curtain was closed, there was something on the other side that was going to jump out and grab them. I wanted a shower curtain that would be decorative, but would still allow some degree of visibility to the other side. I'm not a fan of clear curtains. We did get what we were looking for with this. When I looked at it online, it appeared as if some of the spaces were cutaway or translucent. They aren't. You cannot totally see through it. However, you can make out general shapes on one side or the other. Doubtful anyone will catch an eyeful if you're sharing bathroom space, but you can make out the general form of someone on the other side. As for the coloring, it is as described. The lighter hues make the room seem bigger and brighter. It isn't cheap plastic, but it's not nice enough that it could be mistaken for material. That said, it's also priced really well, so the value is good. I plan to stick with this one until the kiddos let me move back to cloth again. ... show more

This shower curtain is beautiful in real life and much prettier than my pics came out. The blues are much truer in real life. The lighting made it look a bit gray, which it is not at all. I was searching for the right colors in a shower curtain forever that wasn't too dark and let light through. There's enough empty or uncolored space to let light through form the window across from the shower but doesn't violate your privacy which is great. My bathroom is exceptionally narrow and I needed a curtain that made it look bigger or at least didn't overwhelm the space. It was hard to get pics becasue I can't walk in bathroom and step back. The towels and bath mat are recently purchased from Ikea and were very affordable but the important thing is this curtain matches both the teal color of the mat and large bath sheet as well as the brighter blue towels. ( I usually rotate one color for another but left both in pics to show). I use a liner so this shower curtain can fall outside the tub and it looks much better that way as well as letting it last a long time without getting mold. This is a pretty pattern. It’s lightweight but sturdy so it lays nicely. The blue color has a bit of blue-green and makes the pattern pop. It fits great with the tan and green color scheme in my bathroom. It also has enough sheer elements in the pattern that it lets light through, and doesn’t feel stuffy like solid shower curtains. Wasn't sure when I ordered considering the price but I liked the design. My guest bath is on the smaller side and I wanted a white shower curtain that I could change my colors when I wanted but I wanted something with a design on it so it did not look like a big white wall. This ended up being perfect. Beautiful design, allows the light to come through so it does not make the bathroom look smaller than it is. The weight is medium.
