Bought these for my zen retreat and meditation practice and it is the exact type of pants that I wanted to acquire. The materials are breathable polyester that’s extremely lightweight. Very low resistance when you’re trying to lift your legs and stretch, or jumping up. The cords can be adjusted and tied on your waist to make sure it doesn’t fall down if you have heavy pocket items. The range of flexibility the width of these pants provide allows you to do extensive stretching and running. Using these for meditation is great because you don’t feel the excess weight that most cotton pants do. These also allow you to sit for long hours without worrying the sweat that might accumulate in your sweaty parts. I would recommend them for people who are engaging in these activities. However, for people who are looking for tighter fit pants, to ride bikes or rock climbing, I would not recommend these, since these are loose fit. ... show more

A stylish sweatpant that works well even in the middle of the winter. It's maybe perfect for running in the cold, too, since it's more breathable than the typical sweatpants. I use these in the gym during a weight workout and treadmill or stepping. I like these a lot. Not too thick and the fit is comfortable. The tie string is located on the outside making it easier to tie and untie. The zipper pockets are great when I carry something small, I don't have to worry about it falling out. As an older guy, I constantly struggle to find sweat pants these days. They are either too thick, are cut and style for 25 yr olds, or both. So I gave these a try. So they are not sweatpants in any way (maybe I misread the description). They are more like a lightweight jersey knit you would find in a polo shirt. That being said, however, they are really comfortable and I find myself wearing them around the house all the time now. I even find myself sleeping in them—they are that comfortable. I have never been one to work out in long pants, but you could certainly lift weight and do light cardio in them without overheating. They are easy to wash, dry quickly. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I read in previous reviews that the pants were a little long on some folks, but I am happy to say they fit me perfectly. (I am 5' 10" and normally wear a 30" inseam.) I purchased these to use as workout pants. I am returning these for the following reasons: 1) Item arrived defective. The right pocket had a hole due to improper stitching. 2) The material is a bit too thin. This means it is too form fitting around the crotch area, so going to the gym essentially means showcasing your package to the rest of the world. I'm a bit more conservative to want that look. 3) The width of the pant legs is too wide. I bought these because I did not want gym pants that fit like tights. The comments stated that these pants are more loose than tight. That said, I will add that these pant legs are too loose. The last time I had pants this wide and loose was in the 80's when I purchased parachute pants to go break dancing in. They would do well to make the legs a few inches slimmer, which would still result in a comfortable loose fit. PROS: The material is VERY comfortable, like a pajama pant. However, since I bought them for use in the gym, I am sending them back for a refund. ... show more
