Not expandable, i didn't need that, not a bunch of extra pockets, didn't need em. Just the one big pocket for my lunch that is seamless, waterproof, easy to clean, and insulated and the lid inside has a zippered mesh pocket. Then a pocket on the front for whatever, and two mesh pockets on each side that can hold a water jug or other drink and whatnot. I got this for my bf for lunch & he loves it. Its actually sturdier and more spacious than I thought it was gonna be. He fits alot in there lol. It has alot of extra zipper pockets and its easy to clean too. I think you should get it.
