  • Great stuff!
Item Package Quantity: 5
This works really well. I use it as my first layer in planters, add a bit of fertilizer, then soil and kind of lightly toss it, open up places for my bulbs or plants, set those in, and water. I appreciate how well it aerates the soil, allowing room for roots to grow and breathe. Used with a good potting soil, it also doesn't compact, like soil alone, which also helps retain moisture. ... show more

  • Each brick makes a huge bowl.
Item Package Quantity: 10
This makes a HUGE bowl full off coir. I mixed it with my potting soil for better water retention. Seems to work great. Plants are thriving. Already getting green tomatoes. I may get red ones before the 4th of July. Awesome.

  • It works just takes time and a lot of water to expand
Item Package Quantity: 1
Works as expected, 1 brick expanded enough to fill 3 8in hanging pots. For those that are saying it doesn't expand by looking at the videos one doesn't wait long enough (it takes time about an hour) and the other didn't use enough water (it takes a lot)

  • Potting Soil
Item Package Quantity: 5
I love the convenience and the quality of this product. The only reason I gave it four stars is the packaging is inconsistent. One of the bricks only had half the amount as the others.

  • Great choice
Item Package Quantity: 1
Great buy! Makes a lot of potting soil! I’d buy this again. I broke off 1/3 of the brick soaked it in a large Tupperware bowl of water and drained off the excess in a colander. Worked great.

  • These do not expand at all. Waste of money!
Item Package Quantity: 10
These are terrible. I bought them to add to my soil to fill my new garden beds. I have used coco coir bricks before from other manufacturers. I put 5 of these in water for an hour to absorb, expand, and then mix into my soil. They never broke up or absorbed anything. I tried breaking them up some and could get a few chunks to break off, and the inside was totally dry. I let them sit to soak overnight, no change (first picture of floating bricks). I had to leave town for work the following evening so I tried to break them in several pieces hoping they would absorb the water and covered them (had them in a big Costco tote) to deal with when I got home. NINE days later I return home, excited to finally fill my garden beds. They were still solid, and floating in the chunks I had made (second picture) and never expanded! I don’t know what these problem with these are or of they are made with something else, but they are not what they are supposed to be and a complete waste of money and very poor quality. Save your money, time, and energy and buy another brand. ... show more

  • Soil on hand
Item Package Quantity: 5
I’ve used this soil for several years now and have been impressed with how my plants look. It’s easy to mix with water and I always have soil on hand if I need it, which is important to this gardener!
