I bought a few of these in a michaels a few months before I bought them and LOVED them, so I figured it would be cheaper to buy a whole pack than a few $3 individual markers everytime I went to michaels. I use these all the time :)

I just ordered the 15 set (with amazon as the seller). I noticed a discrepancy between the pictures of the 15 set (chisel tip), and the description (brush tip). I wanted the brush tips, not the chisel tips, and thankfully that is what I received! As for the highlighters themselves, I love the color choices and brush tips, but do wish they blended a little better when layering. ... show more

    • Lovely colors, functional

First, I just bought a 5 pack of the cool colors (the set that includes the grey color) from a different online store and was so pleased I wanted the entire set. It was more cost effective to just buy the entire set on Amazon, so I did, even though it meant duplicating the 5 pens I already have. I use these pens 5 days a week, M-F, at my office to color code my work, meeting notes, and ku just to add a little flair to boring office labels, reminders, calendars and to decorate note cards of appreciation for my employees. While I have incorporated the rest of the colors in the entire set, I am still also using the original 5 pens and the brush tips are still in beautiful condition. They are not pristine, but let me tell you, I do not go easy on them either. No special paper, just office paper and the occasional note card. MINIMAL fraying. I am positive that if you do use these with high-quality paper the brush tips will be durable and last. I know this sounds crazy, but I dont really use Tombow dual brush pens because I typically like smaller, firmer brush tips. These brush tips remind me of the Kuretake Fudebiyori brush pen tips which are my favorite for brush lettering. Not really firm, but still has good bounce back that allows for nice variation in pen stroke thickness. Most pens I use in the office (primarily Pilot G2, Papermate Ink Joy and Papermate Flairs) WILL SMEAR under these inks. For my purposes in the office, it doesnt bother me nor does it matter. However, I have found that Pilot Hi Tec C pens dont typically smear under these beautiful colors and I will make the conscious choice to use Hi Tec C pens if I dont want smearing. The bullet tips use the same ink as the brush tip and are nice and durable. In comparison to the Papermate Flairs, the line size is thicker, and because these colors are pastels, they are much more subdue and muted. Again, perfect to just add a little something to ordinary, everyday office paperwork. Don't misunderstand me, though. There are bright colors available in the set. However, they are highlighter-bright. And the more "standard" colors (like red, green, blue) are not the same hue that you usually imagine, as with Crayolas for example. These colors are very unique, but simply lovely, fresh and a pleasure to look at. With such great things to say, why just 3 stars? FOR ME, these pens have a limited purpose and functionality. There are not exactly bold enough to use like Flairs. And for the type of brush lettering projects I create, again, these colors are not bold enough. They are great as accents and beautiful to use for coloring. However, for the price (although the deal I got on Amazon was amazing) I could have just stuck with pastel colored highlighters and got the same results. Would I buy these again? Maybe. Maybe not. If you are debating if you should get them, I will definitely not talk you out of it. You may find a greater purpose for them than I. I do like them, use them daily at work, and do not regret the purchase. However, let's say I could not get my hands on another set, I would not miss them either. pretty good! i bought these for journaling and penpals and so i can practice calligraphy for fun. i used them right after they got delivered and there was no issue with ink spills or damage. — the bullet tip is firm to my liking and the brush is a mix between firm yet soft(?) and which makes it easy to control your strokes. — the only thing i noticed is that the dark green (see pictures) bleeds through the paper the most compared to its counterparts. i’m not too worried about it but consider that you might have a pen or so that bleeds a lot. that’s what i find interesting with my experience with zebra pens, there’s always a pen that bleeds the most lol the rest of the colors seem fine on the page — yes, please note that there’s going to be pens that are like “highlighters” which have the lightest colors (i’ve boxed them in purple in the picture). so it’s something to consider — finally, it’s expensive! yes they’re expensive because they are from zebra, but i’ve purchased pens from them for a while and their longevity outweighs the price. i’ve had my first set of highlighters from them for about three years with constant use and they’re just as good as the day i got them! overall, they’re good pens and they’ll last you a long time depending on how frequently you use them. ... show more
