    • What a Powerful Economical Electric Winch
The winch kit is very well made and comes in at almost 70 lbs. It does not come with a mounting plate, so you will need to decide on what you want to mount it and explored mounting brackets or truck bumpers made for a winch. I ordered a front bumper for my truck with a winch mounting plate. The bumper cost 4 times this winch but was well worth it. I had initially thought I would mount the winch on my tractor but thinking about the power of this winch decided my truck was a better option. The winch draws more power than most alternators so you may want to consider a deep cell battery or a second battery to power the winch which then the alternator can ultimately recharge when you finish using the winch. Depending on where and how you mount the winch you may need some additional wiring. My installation did require some longer wiring which was easy enough to obtain. This winch has a premium Synthetic Rope cabling which on other brands adds an additional cost. It took me a while to get the winch installed but as a retiree I was not in any hurry and took a number of breaks (required as part of the retired people's union :) ). The operation of the winch is easy enough and the added wireless remote really helps make use simple. I am not sure why but the remote seems to draw power for the winch even when not in use. It may just be my imagination as I will be keeping my eyes on it. I did add a deep cell battery to my truck to increase the power available since I only use the winch occasionally for brief periods of time. The cost of this winch makes it a great additional tool for any off-road vehicle. There are some cheap mounting options by using your tow receiver, but i opted for a front bumper mount which added lighting and brush guard making my truck look even more hefty.     • Heavy Duty and Quality made
This winch is heavy duty and well made. I saw this and had to pick it up. It's a bit overkill on pull rating for a 1/2 ton pickup, but you can never have enough capacity right? 13,000 lbs would pull a semi! I can't attest to its pull rating, but the gear reduction should make that possible. The casing is very sturdy and the wireless remote works great. Fits most universal mounting trays for 10,000+ rated mounts. Awesome price point on these. Alot of winch for under $400 as most brands come out of the same factories, just different paint and caps. I have only tested this on flat surfaces, but all seems to work and I'm not afraid to use this in an emergency. ... show more

This wench is easy to install and easy to use. I think it is a great value for the price and it seems to be made to be durable and heavy duty. I often move heavy things from old cars, to heavy logs and it works really great! I would definitely recommend this wench as an affordable option.

Really nice winch, has controller that plugs into the unit and also has a wireless controller, tried both and both work. Would have been an easy install but with the aftermarket bumpers I had to completely remove the front bumper to get to the bolts on bottom..other than that it was One,Two,Three. From start to finish including bumper removal and doing the install by myself it took approx one and a half hrs.. Time well spent as this is a very good quality quality product, would be an excellent addition to any truck or 4X4. ... show more
