If you are taking video for social media or family purposes, sometimes holding by hand is shaky. BUT putting you phone in a holder like this with two hands really stabilizes you. Your video is only as good as your sound (most of the time) if your video is great but the person speaking is hard to hear, it sucks. Too dark and wish you could attach a light, great! This rig can hold a lot. If you are professional, putting a large light can throw the weight off if you put it on the sides, but putting it in the middle is great. Ability to hold it one handed in the back is awesome, two hand grips, bluetooth the photo button on the side to your phone and start/stop the camera with your thumb while holding the camera rig....turn it sideways for IG...For the price it's gold for me. Put a wireless receiver and have a wireless mic? GOLD. This rig will hold stuff for you. Highly reccomended...and when the pros see it, they say..."whoa, nice rig!"...I smile. ... show more

Used this to shoot some video in hard to reach places without the need to crouch or crawl or overreach. Worked flawlessly. Grip is solid it didn’t slip at all. My videocam is nothing special but it mounted easily and this helps fit into spaces and get strange angles when I want them.

    • This has most definitely every mount you can imagine except head, suction and magnetic.

This mount is stable as a standalone mount on a table. It has a handle for low hanging or up shots. It has two sided handles for stability control while walking around. It even has a single handle for lighter weight to manipulate the camera rapidly.

I recently used this with my video camera and it was amazing, I didn't realize how much of a difference it made from a stick mount. The rubberized grip made it very comfortable to hold for long periods, so I could carry the camera, keep it continuously running while pointed forward, but not have to constantly keep it held up. It easily mounted the lighting unit and the external mic for the video camera in the cold shoe mounts, and I still had one more spot for another accessory (maybe a second light?). While I've tested the Smartphone rig (if I know I'm shooting video I use my regular video camera), I haven't used it extensively, but it seems to work well. It fits my Motorola Stylus 5G (barely, but I have a big impact resistant case) and the Bluetooth connected shutter button on the handle is convenient. Another nice feature is the shutter button is removable (like a small remote) so you don't have to touch the rig if you have it mounted on a tri-pod or other surface to take pictures or start recording. I was looking at this unit, and the one doesn't have the smartphone rig, but the price difference was small enough that I decided on this one as I may find the smartphone rig useful at some point. I’m incredibly disappointed with this "stabilizer." Right out of the box, it was clear I received a unit that had been used or previously returned. There were scuffs on the plastic, and the overall build quality is poor—it feels like a cheap toy rather than a piece of professional gear. Bad batch? Or standard SOP? The main issues: • Broken Hardware: One of the main clamps was completely snapped off upon arrival. I couldn't even mount my phone securely because the plastic is so thin and brittle. • Flimsy Design: The entire rig flexes when you hold it. If you’re trying to get stable shots, the last thing you want is the stabilizer itself wobbling. It feels like it would shatter if you actually used it for "action" shots. • Used Condition: As I mentioned, this was clearly not a new item. It was poorly repackaged and looked like someone else’s headache that they just passed on to me. I need gear that I can actually rely on for my career. This isn't it. I’m returning this immediately and investing in NEEWER cage. Bottom line: Total Disappointment. Again, maybe I got a bad batch. Maybe I got Recycled gear. Idk ... show more
